A life-changing book with principles that have been useful in my life for over 20 years. Reprinted since the 1950's, that proves its worth and timelessness. Just remember its age when you read what a great salary it was for someone to be making $10,000 a year. The book will make you re-evaluate your thinking, reassess your actions in the the past and change how you act in the future. I read the book in two days. It got me so excited when I first read it, I couldn't put it down. I love this book. It's written is six grade vocabulary. So that anyone can read it. This book has been recommended time and time again by some very successful people. I have a friend who's twelve year son read and highlighted his own copy. It's helped him out a lot. The principles in this book are universal, simple, and motivating. Anyone that reads this book should have two or three different color highlighters. As you read, highlight anything that is important to you. Then read the book again. This book helped me to look at my situation in a different perspective. I read it for the first time about five years ago. It taught me to how to look at my challenges and think through it. Best practical advice/wisdom book I've read in a long time.

I loved this book. I have read many self-help books over the years and even attended a Tony Robbins event once. Of all the books I've read, I would put this in my top 5. Why? The author, Dr. Schwartz, provides practical advice and solutions to everyday challenges. This isn't wishful thinking or psycho BS. For example, he states that action cures fear. I've tested this and found it to be true, i.e., whenever I feel anxious about something I no longer sit around. I address it by taking action and the fear and anxiety disappear.

The only weakness to the book is that his cultural references are outdated and he should write an updated version. Still, what he says works today.Read full review...
