MEMORIES OF LONG AGO
These songs take you back to a time when things were tough, war, poverty, and none of todays gross indulgence. Yet they could lift the spirit and still today make you smile. Take the time to switch off the mobile get yourself a cup of tea relax and wallow in a bit of simple nostalgia for a while it will be worth it.Read full review...

I laughed and laughed!
I am currently working in a residential care home for people with dementia. I do a lot of singing with the residents as part of my work and I was looking for a CD with songs that they might know - from the 1930s or 40s.I found this CD and thought it was worth getting at the price it was, even if it didn't have anything useable on it.
I can honestly say it was a few quid well spent. I may use one or two songs from it but my husband and I have had such a laugh listening to it. The songs are witty and thoughtfully written. It would bring a smile to even the most miserable person's face, I'm sure.
Particular favourites are the 'The Prune Song', 'Walter, Walter, Lead me to the Altar' and 'Dry Bones'. There is something attractively primitive about the recording of these songs though these musicians and singers had to be so much more talented than those of today's autotuner and multitrack age.
Pure nostalgia, lots of laughs and an absolute bargain. Every home should have a copy.Read full review...
Comic Song compilation
This is a great compilation of wonderful old favourites - you know those songs that you partly know and can never sing throughout and wish you could and can never find! They have been lovingly put together and were more than adequate quality for enjoyable listening! And given that I have to listen to them a LOT because I got them for some research that I'm doing, that's a plus, believe me! I haven't come across another CD that contains the same wealth of material from the era! Practical and very enjoyable!Read full review...
