The eyewitness account of Pantani's tragic end, written by his manager.
This book is not so much a biography, nor is it a book about Pantani's cycling career. It is mainly a first-person account written by Pantani's manager about her relationship with him as well as her eye witness account of Pantani's drug addiction and eventual demise. It is a very readable book and takes the reader behind the scenes of the professional cycling world. A good account of Pantani's spiral into self-destruction after winning the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia in 1998.Read full review...
Not the story I was looking forward to!
While I marvel at the cycling antics of Marco, I find that the book written by his manager lacks the punch to really keep you interested. I only finished the book because I thought that anytime it would begin to get good or interesting.
Manuela was way too close to Marco to write an objective book on his life.Read full review...
