Excellent Mini Tripod

Whilst most of my cameras are Mid-Size DSLR's I wanted something I could easily carry around to do some close up photography. After a thorough search I came across the Manfrotto PIXE Mini Table Top Tripod.

When I first received the package I couldn't believe how small it was and thought to myself that maybe I had been duped into buying something completely worthless. However on opening the package and viewing the quality build I immediately changed my position. Attaching my Canon EOS 350D with a macro lens was easy and I was most impressed with how firmly this tripod held up my camera. Notably I would not recommend using this tripod with a battery grip attached as it'll likely topple over with the added weight.

Final Thoughts:

If you're using a point and shoot like the Canon S110 or smaller or even a compact DSLR such as the 350D or above (without the use of a battery grip) this sturdily little tripod can be a worthy addition to your arsenal.

***Highly Recommended***

It all depends...

It definitely depends on what you are doing. What you are shooting with, the surface it's sitting on, and whether or not you're using an extension with it. By itself with a small point and shoot, micro 4/3, or GoPro type camera I'm sure it would be great. Attach a selfie stick to it for extension and things change quite a bit. The base although small is too light and with wind it will tip over with the extension attached. I'm a property virtual tour creator and tried to use it with a 360 camera and found getting things perfectly level nearly impossible. Not a bad tool, just the wrong tool in my case. Smaller and lighter is not always better. Good for average recreational use though.Read full review...

Great portable tabletop tripod

I recently bought one and tested it and liked it so much that I bought another one for my 2nd home to use. It is lightweight, sturdy for it's size and easy to use for my mirrorless camera.

Best mini tripod in its class!

Extremely sturdy. Made mostly of aluminum. Easy operation of the button to release and lock the ball. Large enough to have some height for your camera, yet small enough to fit into the side pocket of a backpack. Super nice-looking!Read full review...

Much for the money

I half expected a cheap plastic-and-metal tripod for the money, but the brand is solid and so is the tripod. All metal, stable and compact. An excellent value!

No quick release plate. Not for really heavy cameras/lenses, but great for most uses. Good mic stand, but get a thread adapter so it will fit the mic.

I like this tripod, but it would be better if it had a quick release plate like their other tripods.
If you have a professional DSLR and long lens, it won't hold the weight. It works OK if you don't have a huge lens or really heavy DSLR.
It is good as a portable microphone stand. However, you have going to have to buy a thead adapter. This thread is smaller than what my Rode Video-Mic has and neither Manfrotto or Rode supply an adapter anymore.

Best baby table top tripod out there

Great little tripod. I own several, perfect for lights, cameras and phones in tight quarters. Folds into a handle easily, and the ball joint is versatile and solid. Love it.

You may want several of these

The Manfrotto PIXI is a great product - small, sturdy and easy to use. A work of art. Easy to fit in a camera bag. I am very impressed.

Size doesnt matter

This is the ideal carry around tripod for mirrorless and compact cameras because of the size and weight. Its pocketable and very versatile

I love the one handed pinch setting for the ball -- see that red button - you just have to push adjust the camera angle and leave the button - your camera now stays in said adjusted position

AAA+++
