Disappointing...

While Charles Manson had a hand in the writing of this book, it more clearly reflects the marketing hopes of the publisher along with the consessions of Nuell Emmons, the editor. All the specifics which might have made "Manson in His Own Words" interesting have been expunged, to avoid law suits. The end result reads like a Reader's Digest feature article on Charles Manson. It's hard to blame Manson or Emmons. I suspect they were being used to simply get some sort of product out with Manson's name on it. I'm sure Charles Manson has a story to tell but he wasn't given the chance in this book.Read full review...

This book adds more understanding to the psyche that is found inside one of the most notorious "murderers" in the United States.
