The product does clean the jewellery for sure, I didn't realise how dirty a lot of mine was.
Just a tip - it warms up and if you put it on too many times it gets quite hot. (It does state only a couple of times).
Don't put really old items in with small chips of marcasite or gems if its warm, some of mine released. Very good for reading glasses and sunglasses.

ultrasound cleaner
It is too small and under powered, spend your money on something a bit larger. I tried various items in it for no noticeable result, even gave it several tries to be fair. Being my very first ultrasonic cleaner I have no idea what to expect or how it might stack up against other brands, but I'm using it to clean my electric razor head (philishave) and it does a great job cleaning them up like new without the need to dismantle the whole assembly. Suprising Results
Bought one on a whim after seeing my glasses cleaned at a visit to SpecSavers, I received the unit & tried the unit at home on my glasses, watches etc., & found it did a great job, I was amazed at the dirt left lying in the bottom of the unit when finished. My wife then fronted up with her prized possessions and we found that it worked great on them as well. I have tried the unit with a few drops of detergent (recommended in the user manual) for stubborn dirt and I am very happy with the results to date. On speaking to a SpecSavers employee he told me that they add a few drops of cloudy ammonia to their unit, this I have not tried as yet but will after my next trip to the supermarket to purchase some.Read full review...
