Must-own for fans of the comics

Everyone loves to hate the pirate of The Walking Dead, The Governor. He is one of the most evil and despicable characters in history, with almost no redeeming qualities at all. In the show, he was made more sympathetic. If you know the comic book Governor, then you'll probably want this officially licensed action figure. Spawn's Todd McFarlane did an incredible job on it. The paint looks excellent, they truly did a wonderful job bringing the smarm and sleaze of the comic book Governor to life in this figure. The 5 or so inch tall action figure has over twenty points of articulation including interchangeable heads, arms and weapons. The articulation is very smooth yet firm and it holds its shape well when posed, utilizing what I call "gear joints". Some of the parts are small, so be careful. This figure is also easy to customize, as I was able to take a marker and make the figure look bloodied similar to the black and white version. For my figure, I installed the mutilated arm, eyepatch and ear-less head because I like how the Governor was mutilated more than any other character in the comics later on yet still kept on going. The interchangeable arms and heads do require a little bit of elbow grease to install, however. I am well pleased with this figure, it's only too bad McFarlane didn't make more of the Negan and Alpha comic figures because they're pretty rare and expensive. For the price, articulation and design, there's nothing better especially if you are a fan of the comics.Read full review...
