This replaced a discoloured OE tank and was a perfect fit.

Mini expansion bottle r53

Common problem on minis is the (bmw) expansion bottle gos hard and then brittle due to its location in the engine bay 1st signs of a problem is when the bottle darks to a brown colour then you start to see white stain marks.this happens over a period of time just before the bottle fails. Replacement is simple 2 bolts removal and 1 pipe. These new bottles also come with a 2 yr warranty but to be fair the old 1 had been fitted to the car from new (13yrs) so hopefully it should be a fit and forget. The.
