Better than paper
I have about 300 LPâs and all of them have Mofi sleeves. I cannot express enough how much better they are than paper sleeves. Every time you pull a record from a paper sleeve you are making tiny scratches on your records. I cringe when I pull out a record from a paper sleeve for the first time. Just hold them out in the sun and youâll see what I mean. That said, I really wish they (the mofiâs) were paper on both sides so they werenât so flimsy. They do make paper sleeves âLinedâ with plastic but the paper on the outside is exposed and I wonder if that would yellow over time. So I stick to the Mofis and it works. The Best?
In my humble opinion these sleeves are the best I've used since V.R.P. sleeves back in the 80's & 90's. They seem to be made tough but have a gentle perfect space for your collectible or just any album. I work in a record store and it's a shame to see people bring in amazing albums that could go for a lot of money but they are NOT protected by sleeves like these. These sleeves are the key to making sure your records arenât scratched up and collecting dust just for being in storage. I have used these over the days and they a very nice quality. Printed arrows at the end of the sleeve to direct you to insert the album. They are of a composition that when you retract the record, you hear some static cling. I don't care because i have an anti static mat on my turntable, and a Milty zerostat.
