Modernist Introduction!

Great book for any serious cooks looking to expand their knowledge of modernist cooking. Modernist cooking really is, the appliance of science, to what we do day in, day out.
The forerunner to this, Modernist Cuisine, was aimed at professionals like me and took me months to read the 5 Volumes. This book is a great introduction for anyone looking to get into the subject at home. You will need to get some new kit, such as an Immersion circulator, vacuum packer etc, all of which is so much cheaper and readily available these days for the domestic cook.
The addition of the kitchen manual which has all the recipes in a waterproof, wipe able ring binder is brilliant. Happy cooking.

Although the concept and core content is a decade old the ideas that once were revolutionary are now widely accepted and part of today's cookery. This book provides a beautiful and lavish platform for the techniques that underpin modern gastronomy.

In itself the book is a covetable object with high production values throughout.
