I like the fact that they finally made a monster truck game that includes what monster trucks actulley do. Running around with a rocket or mashine gun attatched to you blowing one another up is not monster jam! If they would just make it aval. in PS3 form and continue on the road there on I would buy a game for a 100.00 bucks if the graphics were right. A GEM for kids, beginners and monster truck fans of all ages!

Monster Jam is fun for all ages! It is an older game that is not overly complicated and the trucks are not mounted with weapons to kill each other with. There are scenarios where you crash into other trucks to force them off of the track, and of course you get points for crushing all obstacles in sight. That is the extent of the "violence" in this game. No blood, or running people over. The only body parts flying are pieces of the truck falling off.
Personally, I potty trained my two year old by letting him earn time playing this and a few other kid friendly games,(at the end of the day/1hr max),every time he went on the potty. It was such a great reward that it only took three days! Another cool thing is the local 2 player, where we can chase each other in an arena, or even on a few more large tracks that have no time limit and no score keeping.
Overall the game control is fairly easy, the physics have a nice feel to them and the replay value is good. For beginners and casual gamers this is a must have GEM. If you are a monster truck fan you will appreciate that you can drive real world trucks like Monster Mutt and you will enjoy the power of a beast of a machine. Collectors of the Hot Wheels Monster Jam trucks will enjoy actually being able to play a game that has their same die cast trucks featured. Hardcore gamers will more likely give it a run through and feel like there could be more to it, like vehicle upgrades or more of a difference between trucks. love the crashing. music is cool making your blood pump as you fly (and sometimes literally) around the track one minute your are in last place, and the next you use fly over head of your opponents and are in first place.

great game, fit for even a four year old

its great game, good graphics, great driver camera view. I bought this game game so my 4 year old could play something on the xbox since all my other games are too hard for him. the controls are very easy for him to play with as well as the courses. Great Game

This is a fun game with very detailed graphics. Only complaint is that the game steering controls are really sensitive, which makes it harder for kids to play. Still my son loves the game in the freestyle mode. Racing is a little tougher for younger kids.Read full review...

i bought this game for my 2 year old son he loves monster trucks and the controls are easy enough for him to play it he plays it every day.as for a raceing game i like it myself the freestyle is great not to mintion this game is hard to find its a rare game you wont find in stores .
