Morning Comes Softly by Debbie Macomber

Debbie Macomber is an excellent writer. I have read many of her books and will continue to do so. This particular book starts out on a sad note with an accident that takes the lives of a couple and leaves their three children having to adjust to living with their single uncle. The uncle (Travis) is also having a difficult time having to adjust to the death of his brother and sister-in-law, much less how to cope with the children. The state child services has been keeping tabs on him and has found him lacking the ability to properly raise the children.

This is where Travis upon information from others advertises for a wife. Mary listens to comments from a couple of teenagers that have seen the ad, after locating it she responds to the request sure that it's a waste of time. But is surprised when she receives a returning letter from Travis. After commucating by letters and telephone Travis and Mary makes the decision to marry for the childrens sake.

There is more to the story then this but I will let you read it and make up your own minds. I find it a very good book and recommend reading it.

I haven't read very far but she is one of my favorites.

I haven't read all of the book but her style of writing is one I really enjoy. I have almost every book she has written and I plan to continue to read her stories. They are good clean stories without all the descriptive garbage some writers use to sell books. There are a few of us that don't go for trash novels and I am glad to find an author that writes books I am not afraid to have around my grandkids.Read full review...

Not recommended

There are two stories in this book. They are author’s earlier work. I am very disappointed.

Another great book by Debbie Macomber

As always it is hard to put down one of her books. I found the farther I got into it the harder it was to put down even for a few minutes. It gets you involved in the story line that you want to continue on with it to see what happens next.Read full review...

Morning Comes Softly by Debbie Macomber (1993) GOOD

This book was very interesting as all of Debbie Macomber's books are. It gives a new perspective on how we see others feelings and trials in life. It was one of those books hard to put down!
