We are best friends! Great value for money and durable!

I purchased this product because I was looking for an easy to use, durable, and closer screen size to my previous phone(Solstice). As my first smartphone I am fascinated with it and we have become best friends :). I absolutely love the Gorilla Glass I was in a parking lot and a dropped my phone from a friends pickup truck and the screen was perfectly intact! This is exactly what I was looking for. The phones a smaller than the other smartphones on the market, but has almost all the same features except for a front facing camera. All in all if you haven't had a smartphone before this is the phone to start out with.Read full review...

Nice phone a few thing holding it back

Nice phone, rugged as promised. Pictures of moving things suck, stationary things work well in good light. Wish it did hd video. After a software update started slowing down a bunch. Audio quality from headphone jack is good, wish it came with a built in eq. Sounds great with mp3 apps with eq, but not with pandora (for headphones). The built in speaker is pretty loud and as good quality as a built in can get. All the apps that I've tried have worked seamlessly. Not that big a fan of motoblur, but I can see it's benefits. Love the size of it, not as bulky as the droid, and light too. Call quality is great. Screen is nice and durable. Touch accuracy isn't as good as other phones out there compared to the galaxy, droid, and htc phones, so texting could be better. Wifi has good range. Bluetooth is compatible with alpine head unit and pandora works well with stereo eq.Read full review...

The phone is durable and great for active persons.

This is your basic Android phone. I have experience with the Samsung Vibrant and I will use this as my comparison. The phone is smaller and more compact compared to other android phones. I would trade my Vibrant in for a Defy just for the durability and water proofing. The phone did have some dislikes. The features are not the same as my other android phone. The defy makes up for this in serviceability, surprisingly loud volume and a more convenient size. It is good for people in very physical jobs.Read full review...

Moto DEFY- big screen smartphone in a small footprint!

The NEW Moto DEFY - a rugged big screen smartphone in a very small footprint!

This an amazing phone: rugged & sealed, impact & water resistance, with a big 3.7" LCD High Resolution Touch screen, all in a light and so small footprint, that you can not believe it, unless you measure it or put it side by side with others...

This is a great GSM, 4bands, 3.7" touch screen, bar type, bluetooth, 3G, GPS & WiFi capable smart cell phone with Android 2.1 Operative System, QuickOffice document viewer, Email push technology (imap4 & pop3), full internet browser, and media player.

The Wifi Calling feature is very useful to let you make calls from accesible wifi zones, if you are within a low or not a phone signal area. A lot of new applications are available using the Android Market at low cost or for free!

It includes an excellent 5 MPixels camera with flash, internal memory of 2Gb, and external memory Micro SD-TFT data system (2Gb card included) expandable up to 32gb, to store your photos, music, or data; among other standard features...

Although this phone is not unlock, it can be unlocked by you to be used with other compatible GSM carriers... right now, you can use it with T-Mobile or Simple Mobile without unlocking it; you just need to change some simple settings.

The NEW MOTOBlur technology lets you manage all your social accounts & contacts from a single centralized system... keep backup of all your data over the internet. Its security system allows you to locate the phone via GPS, and if not found, you can erased all data on it in case of lost. You will need a Gmail acount to activate your Motoblur... a very easy thing to do directly on Gmail, if oyu don't already have one. The nice thing is that you select the data or information to be share, and the social network accounts to be included (if any).

I was using a Windows Phone for more than a year, but I have to accept that this one, along with all its attributes, endurance, its easy to use and configure Android System, and the big screen in a so small footprint, just makes me love it... HM

Nice phone with somr factory defects

Its a nice sturdy phone, great for those spending time outdoors.
There are, however, couple of minor, and one major issues with it.
Minor things first:
1) The battery inside is a bit loose, and rattles when the phone is shaken. An easy fix is to put a piece of folded paper under the cover.
2) Motorola is known for slow releases of updates. Current factory 2.1 rom is not the best for sure. One of the issues is being unable to end the call when the screen is off.
3) "Physical" buttons do not activate the screen.
The major issue, however, is that a huge percent of phones have their earpiece dead after just couple of days of usage (factory defect). Since the phones bought here at ebay don't have t-mobile's warranty, you may have to deal with motorola - and its a major hassle.
No offence, but it is the last motorola product I bought.

Excellent phone, great value.

LOVE this phone. I only had it for about a month before it got stolen but I decided to use my upgrade for a new one (same thing). I'm picky about getting new phones because I don't like having to learn a whole new interface. This was my first smartphone and I was in love with in within 5 minutes of taking it out of the box.

It's easy to navigate and has no slowness or lag. Apps run smoothly and has a lot of features. Battery life kinda sucks compared to a non-smartphone but that just comes with the type of phone. Would last 2 days if I didn't use it constantly.

Highly recommended. Perfect for me, as it's water resistant, shock resistant, etc. Excellent little phone

great product

Love this phone could do without the motoblur (seems to make things a little more confusing/difficult)I didn't think it would bother me having all contacts merged (social networks, email etc.) but it is rather annoying when sending a txt and the email addy for that persons facebook profile is also added to the send list beacause it's now apart of your contact list. You have to pay attention when you enter the name and if it's a number, email, or even the right number getting the txt. But its a great phone. The 2nd night I had it my 8 month old puked directly on it while sitting on the bed. It was litterally in a puddle of formula puke. Wiped it off , rinsed it off and as good as new. 1 habit to get into is keep all connection covers closed (battery, headset) that keeps it water resistant.Read full review...

Good phone at decent price

It's a great phone at the price range. The only problem is that I am keep hitting the lower four touch keys accidentally. There's no way to avoid it, at least for me. I have normal size hands, but still crumble-some for this small android phone.

It gets really slow sometimes, but I have around 50+ apps installed.

Screen, weight, durability are above other android phones. Screen can be better if it's larger, but still very usable.

I like it.

Awesome work phone.

Just got my new phone in the mail(Great deal**NEW**$227.00). Its a great little phone. At first I thought it was kind of cheap but after playing with it Its not too bad at all. I have updated the software and everything works just fine. I did that before I talked on it. I made sure everything was up to date. No slowdowns like I have read. No loose battrey like I have read. Its a work phone thats for sure. Great little package Motorola made with this phone. I think anyone who takes there phone out in the rain to take a video is stupid. It would have to have the covers open on top to get wet inside. Its NOT WATER PROOF people. And even says so. Its a easy phone to use. Its just like a IPHONE but BETTER. The battry last for a long time considering whats running in the back ground. Has tons of apps to stop that. Its a great little phone. VERY HAPPY WITH IT. Going to buy one for my husband. The ringtones are very basic. went to the app pack and it sugested ringtones, D/L one and picked old school phone ringing. This work horse is still working fine. No probs from it at all. Worth the money I paid.Read full review...
