Recommended to anyone interested in an artists impression of Hollywood.
A fascinating film. Worth seeing more than once, in fact bares multiple viewings. Recommended to anyone who wants an artist's impression of Hollywood and it's creations from it's golden age.
Increasingly unnerving.
When you read the words, "A film by David Lynch" you know you are in for an often baffling but exciting visual treat. As per usual with Mr Lynch, the film often shoots off at a tangent for no rhyme or detectable reason but you are so hooked you don't care. In Mulholland Drive, a cute aspiring Hollywood actress encounters a woman who has lost her memory and tries to help her - with increasingly unnerving results. Naomi Watts and Laura Hanning are the women whose lives - and sex lives - become entangled, and there is a lovely performance from Ann Miller as the manager of some posh Hollywood apartments. Great adult entertainment.Read full review...
Mulholland Drive
Demands repeat viewing, if for nothing more than the 'what the f*** just happened' factor. This is Lynch doing what he does best, overtly twisted, but sublimely distracting he uses cinema and celebrity as his muse while weaving a complex tale of naive ambition and the American dream.Read full review...
