My Dying Bride - A Line of Deathless Kings (CD 2006)

My Dying Bride have consistently created Excellant albums BUT this one has to be the best yet!Their ability to use out of phase timing, to alter the pace of the album from track to track & also within a song has the mood varying all the time. They can be extremely fast & heavy then gentle & surreal! They use violins as solo's then whole orchestral peices entwinned with the Metal. Simply genius. It takes more than one listen to really appreciate the subtlties of what you are actually listening, to key into what they are trying to portray & upon every audition you will experience new things within the music that were not apparent before. These fine musicians hold down ordinary jobs during the day & do this almost as a hobby. They are professional & are still continuing to grow & mature. I wander at what the quality will be like in say 10 years time as I am blown away with the standard right now! Don't hesitate to purchase this album if your seriously into Doom Metal, the maccabre & want to be taken to a place of despair & dark places! 10 outta 10!Read full review...

MDB - Deathless Kings

Recent offering (2006) from masters of gloom. Imagine thrash played at very slow speed and that's what you have here. Doesn't have the cool disturbing artwork of Songs of Darkness and there may be just a trace of pomp in the delivery of both vocals and guitars, but if you want songs about pain then this is for you. It has less ongoing repetition than in "Songs" and you certainly won't be listening to it through your earphones while sat round the pool with a pina colada. Vocals are clear, unlike earlier work. I liked this one so much I had to have the CD and the vinyl. (I wonder if these guys ever lighten up and go out for beer and pizza? Meanwhile....pain and more pain....lovely.)Read full review...

Good ukrainian copy

I believe that this cd was not an original by Peaceville records, but a ukranian copy. However the quality of sound is perfect. The booklet even though of good quality , is of lesser quality than the original. The price was very very good.
If you know that you're bying a copy then it's a very good alternative.

Cheers
