The Best of the Who

I'm not one for listening to "hard rock", more of the "oldies" type, but I was told that The Who did the theme music for the three CSI shows on TV and that was all I needed. Since I have had the CD, I've found that there are other tracks that I like and that makes the purchase of this CD that much more rewarding.

It truly was in my opinion the best of the group Who.

Love: THe two theme songs to two of our favorite tv shows, CSI and CSI New York.

I bought it for two reasons, one that my husband is a collector of music and for myself because I went looking for the theme song for CSI New York and found it in EUC (excellent used condition)at a fair price with the bonus surprise as it also had the CSI theme song on it.

If you've never really listened to The Who before, and only hear of some kid named Tommy whenever someone brings them up, then this is the perfect first Who CD you could buy. A compilation of some The Who's greatest hits, My Generation: The Very Best Of The Who will not steer you wrong. This CD goes through the bands entire history and picks the most appropriate song for each of their ever changing styles. The BEST of My Generation: The Very Best Of The Who!

Switching the music collection from albums to CD's to the ipod has been quite a change for me, but with the very BEST music ever performed during the 60's and early 70's it has been quite enjoyable. I grew up listening to music like this. This album captures the very best songs from the incredible Who experience. Squeezebox, Pinball Wizard, Magic Bus, My Generations, Won't Get Fooled Again, Who Are Are You, I Can See For Miles.......kids today have no idea what GREAT music is like! At least they get a bit of it in TV theme songs! Alive and well and living in the 60's......you had to have been there I guess :-) GREAT choice for your Who Best collection.Read full review...
