Probably does what is intended

My wife's computer is upstairs and she thought it was running slowly. We bought this, spent 15 minutes getting it up and running, put it directly above the main modem/router in an upstairs room adjacent to her office. You need to know what you are doing

I never have a problem anymore with connecting to Wi - Fi. However, I thought that it was going to be a simple process. Plug it in and you're done. NOT. It came without instructions. However, it did come with a link to get the instructions. I printed them out, gave it to my son, and in 5 minutes I had Wi - Fi.. Great price too!Read full review

This small inexpensive device works as well as expensive devices.

I receive wi fi signals from my brothers home 800 feet away. I had previously bought a device that cost around $80.00 and it failed so I bought another just like it. Also with the other device, I had to put a separate router in my house also another $80 or so and had to keep doing a lot of complicated programming to make this device a wi fi repeater. With the netgear wi fi range extender, i just had to plug it in at my brothers house, Push the wi fi transmit button on his router, then push the wi fi learn button om the range extender and wait for 2 minutes till it was programmed to attach to his router. I then unplugged it and took it to my house and plugged it into an outlet in my house where the signal strength was good and it works great. I connect it wire less or with the ethernet port on it. It allows me to connect a lot of other devices to it just like you would any other router. I love this little device.Read full review

Netgear don't care...

Extender will NOT connect to the network. Many reviews say that it is easy to setup. WRONG! I tried Netgear support, and the first person I spoke with was in India and after 20 minutes he hung up on me. The 2nd guy said no support is available as this unit is refurbished. Thanks for nothing, Netgear! I have tried every way mentioned in the user manual to connect this to my network and it will NOT connect. Read full review

Good value for price

Works fine, does what it's supposed to do. I no longer have a problem with the 'dead spot' I previously had in one corner of my small one story house. Easy to install & hook up, & uses same password to connect as your existing WiFi uses.
It would be nice if it came with printed instructions instead of having to go on Internet to get instructions, but that's my only complaint.

Really... Really Good Wifi Extender

You guys would have to reset the extender with a paper clip. Plug it up to the nearest outlet near your router. Do that WPS thing. And than plug it up halfway where you would need WiFi the most. But it's a really good deal. My first Extender and it's doing good. Only complaint is everything else connects except my note 5. Maybe it's not used to it. I can still connect to my router it's not a major issue. But you would have to let your devices get use to the setup. Give it some time because it is a used product. But it will get better. Oh yeah also make sure all 4 lights cut on. And turn the antenna in any position you please.Read full review
