The GB40 succeeded where others had failed

I initially bought a cheaper chinese jump-starter which literally crashed & burned (burned as in it burnt out the 'protection circuitry' after 15 seconds of use). Refunded/replaced it with one of these & hey, presto! - my car, a VW Arteon 2L diesel with a totally dead battery, started at the first attempt!

Scored down solely because it is a bit on the pricey side for what it is. Other than that, it does exactly what it is designed to do & at least it didn't burn out on me. I guess the old addage that you get what you pay for would apply here.

Noco GB40 Jump Starter

I already have several NOCO products which have proven to be high quality and reliable. This was the main reason that I chose to buy a NOCO jump starter. The GB40 is the usual NOCO high
quality and works well. However the flimsy sock like pouch that comes with the GB40 is
inadequate to protect it properly. Storing the GB40 in the pouch makes it susceptible to knocks which can turn the product on as the buttons stand proud. The result can be a flat charger when
you need it most. I have had to buy an extra hard shell storage case which at this price I shouldn't have to. Noco products are expensive but well worth it in the end. Recommended.

Could not start 4.6 litre petrol engine

Product was supposed to jump start petrol vehicles up to 6 litres, It could not start my 4.6 litre petrol engine. It lit up dashboard and interior lights but did not have power/quality to start the engine. I tried it on the contact points under the bonnet, would not start. Then I removed all the boot floor and attached it direct to the battery and it still would not start the vehicle.

To be fair the return procedure and refund were easy to process.

Just perfect

I bought the battery because I was having starting problems with my van and just wanted to have it handy just in case. I've used the boost pack to start the van several times and it has started the van every time. A useful piece of kit to have handy just in case you get into trouble.Read full review...

Well worth the money for a quality product.

The NoCo GB40 does the job in a satisfactory manner. It’s safe with it’s built in safety features. You pay more and get a top quality product with the GB40, highly recommended.

Fabulous product

Purchased this product after much research, to be utilised as and when the motorhome battery is low or flat. The day after it arrived a colleagues car had a totally flat battery and within 10 seconds of connecting onto his battery his vehicle started up. Truly remarkable .Read full review...

And yes it works brilliantly

An unexpected flat battery on a 2.2 diesel this morning and I can’t believe I’m getting the noco out of the garage so soon. It was only for insurance but this battery is 6 years old and has reached its sell by. Anyway the clamps on (live first of course) although it will tell you if you mess up but a press of the power button and start the car. I’m guessing my journey was delayed by 10min max with no finding jump leads or calling breakdown.Read full review...
