I have two cars and a year or so ago both batteries were playing up and the GB40 saved me several times, once when the car struggled to start I had only been driving 10 minutes (not enough for the alternator to charge the battery sufficiently) and I got stuck in a traffic jam and stalled it creeping forwards! Get one or regret it.
Ile be honest when I borrowed a friend's I laughed and said no way that's gonna start a dielel. I had to take that back š. I then purchased one that week I've use da fee times already and during the cold spell for works vans and the od early morning breakdown with neighbours etc so only had 2 wks and probably used 12 times already been absolutely brilliant. Honestly having one of these as a motorist should be law!!!!!!

Doesn't work
The thing seems great with all the protections and teoretical parameters. But the fact is it haven't managed to start my Honda Accord (Diesel 2,2) even once! During the lockdown when the car is used rarely for quite short trips, and stands outside in cold and wet, the battery can't charge properly, so I hoped the advertised device could help me. Unfortunately it has no effect and doesn't help at all. Maybe it can work with smaller engins, I have no idea. But it definitely can't manage 3l diesel. Have had occasional issues with my Maserati ( 3 litre petrol ) Ghibli with unexplained battery leakage. This unit arrived with around 25% charge, but became fully charged and operational within 2 hrs using the supplied USB cable. Happy to report that once connected she fired up immediately. Obviously only just got it and used it once, but my early opinion is that it is a great piece of kit. Small enough to store in its supplied pouch in a reasonable sized glovebox, it could save loads of grief waiting for a recovery service. Build quality is impressive. Having used the gb40 for a while I found overall good unit ,but the clamps are rather large which can restrict access on some batteries , the leads are short and another 6 inches would be ideal as cannot be used on some vehicles that require a ground other than battery terminal . These units do work, but mine was faulty - Better QC please NOCO.
The battery was faulty on this one (barely cranked over engine, dropped charged rapidly and flagged the fault LED - over heating) and so was disappointed with purchase of a premium branded product.
