Easy to set up but disappointing performance

If you have days with nothing better to do than train your dragon, it may work well for you. Perhaps it's my tone of voice of speech pattern, but my dragon is close to illiterate. If you're expecting anything close to Windows speech to text, you'll be dissatisfied and manually revising much more than anticipated. The only real advantage to this for me is giving my hands a break from the keyboard for inputting massive amounts of data. I don't use it for controlling the screen and windows because it's just close to impossible for me to accomplish with voice commands.Read full review...

When it works, it's great! It never really worked on my laptop.

My IT person has installed Dragon at work but after several attempts including uninstalling and reinstalling it, he could not make it work on my laptop. Best Buy Geek Squad, who also sells Dragon, tried unsuccessfully for several weeks to make Dragon work properly on my laptop. It would only dictate into a dictation box, requiring me to continually cut and paste as needed. I made two phone calls to Nuance, and I was told that because this is a "mature" (meaning older version) I would need to pay an additional $20 for technical assistance. The seller also called and was surprised to learn this. After three weeks of struggling to make Dragon work on my laptop with Windows 7, I gave up and I am returning it tomorrow. Apparently the seller will not be able to re-sell this product, however, if free technical support does not come with a newly purchased Dragon perhaps he should not sell it. And, Nuance should stand behind their product. Is this negative review really worth their not helping me to make Dragon work on my laptop after numerous ITs were unable to do so?Read full review...

swing and a miss

This product is a hype. The voice recognition delay is annoying.I'd rather type cuz it would take less time.
This item should be priced at 25 and 55..rip off.
