GS608 version is important: v3 indicates connection speed, v4 has power on/off switch.

The GS608 v4 model (new from Amazon July 2019) no longer has light color indicating connection speed, which disappointed me. On the good side, Netgear has added a handy on/off power switch to the v4, which is not a feature of the v3. This v4 data switch works great, but is less informative for management than I was hoping. My older v3 helps me figure out where the communication bottlenecks are in my network by indicating 1000 speed with green lights, 100/10 with yellow. Great SOHO Switch

For an inexpensive non-manageable switch, this thing is great. You can't beat the price for a full duplex switch. My router only has four WAN ports. And I have a lot of Ethenet devices that need gigabit connectivity. This works great for home use, but I would recommend a manageable switch for more complicated networking.
