Nice little router

Works well for what it does and has decent features. Doesn't have dual band so not best it you have a ton of wireless devices in use at one time, but works quite well for my needs at a decent price.

Will not connect to internet

Might have been good at one time, however will not connect to internet at present. Internet light stays red all time, most likely something wrong inside. Other modem router works on system now.

Home run with Modem Router combo

Had N300 ADSL Modem Router for 3 weeks now. It has been more than expected in performance and not one single time have I had to reset it to get internet back. *I was doing that 1 to 3 times a day with the system I replaced. When doing speed tests I am always very close to what I am paying for, which is much better than before. Love this Netgear router

I love this wireless router. has strong signal for one household or apartment. I love that it has 2.4GHZ which is compatible with most old technology. and not that garbage 5G which most old technology is not compatible with. most people who giving a bad rating have no idea how to use technology I can turn this cheap router into a $500 dollar router all I need to do is Flash it with tomato firmware. which is almost like jailbreaking the router. Once you have done that your router become a super router your capabilities are endless with ad blocking and VPN and you can block any device on your network. I can watch any videos in 4k. Internet is super fast. people give it a bad rating because they know absolutely nothing about technology take the time to learn about the technology that you want to use take care of the technology and it will take care of you. Just because a technology is old that's not mean it's not capable of upgrading firmware. It's really sad how a lot of people in this world like to judge. Good product and poor support for " refurbished" products

Purchased on eBay at a very low price - $20+/-. I discovered price was low because it was "reconditioned" (new but not in original box or with original packing - no serial number) and only came with 30 day online support from Netgear -not the regular help for a new unit. All setup information is available on the Netgear web page, but I still needed help. Very frustrating at first as the "help" was just to refer me to one of their web pages. Finally I told them their "support" was worthless and gave up trying to install. On last stab at help they brought someone from the next level up who gave me enough help to get the job done. Help was not complete but enough to get my unit installed. My installation was probably more difficult as I was adding this unit to my Xfinity combined router/modem before killing the router side of the Infinity unit. Reliable and with good features, but not fully compatible with all devices

I buy this router cause was tired of my tp-link router randomly cutting signal and saw a decent inexpensive alternative to replace it and improve my home network in same buy.
I like all the features in netgear genie, like the WPS button, the signal range, more than enought to cover my house, even with masonry walls.
Don't like that isn't fully compatyble with all my network gadgets, all my computers, tablet, smartphone, smart tv, ps4 get connected at a speed that exceed my provieder's internet speed... but cant get connected my epson wifi to the new network, before worked on the tp-link router, so it's not compatible with every gadget.
Next time I have to update my SOHO network will seek for a more up to date and compatible router, if I knew what I know today wouldn't buy this router despite all the usefull features and conection speed it have.Read full review...

Oldie but Goodie

This old style modem works perfectly and is faster than my internet speed. I like the Netgear Router Genie which makes it easy to set passwords and router controls.

Good Product! work for its purpose to send regular Wi-Fi all over your Home

Got this unit here in E-Bay and give it a shot to replace my old WNR2000V2 that only has single access point name or (SSID) but this WNR2000V3 has two (SSID) one for your private access and the other one is mainly for GUEST. I tried hooking it up with my modem and left the access point OPEN (No Password)set this to (300 MBps) so other people can connect! then I noticed the strength signal goes up and down even the router was only on my side and the (Mbps) go up and down from 36Mbps-54Mbps-127Mbps but it never drop a connection by the way this is a Torture test 24/7 for 1Week :) Now I Lock the Wi-Fi and this guy still running Good! it does the job for surfing the web and multimedia streaming and some of my Nephews OnLine Games.Read full review...

Works great, easy set up!

Needed a new router and was on a budget. This router is very inexpensive for the Netgear brand. It is small and very easy to set up. Anyone can do it. It works in my house. No dead spots. It even reaches outside. It is much faster than I expected. At the click of a button it changes internet pages. Basic and priced right

This is a basic cable router with wifi capability. I think it's a good buy used if you want to get out of the monthly lease with comcast which is why I bought it, but I wouldn't pay current retail price. One thing to keep in mind is to use the manual reset on it at the bottom of the unit if you are buying used. Mine came with changed name and password and I had issues trying to get it connected until I reset it. I haven't noticed any speed loss and so far it hasn't dropped or locked up or anything like that. I liked that it had 2 LAN outlets for wired accessories. Good value for such a low price.

Has good additional features for online gaming and Quality of Service (QoS) devices. Easy to configure. Checking for and upgrading firmware is easy and convenient. Easy to use interface.

Even on 802.11n band, the range is not as good as I thought it would be, I live in a two story house with the router downstairs and can only get 2 bars or less (fair) connection within the furthest room on the second floor (about 15-20 yards from where the router is).Read full review...
