Pokemon GO Plus - Wristband
I do Love it , so much easier to use when out and about without having to be looking at my phone all the time , maybe not for the full on "gotta catch them ALL" players though , it only gives you one go at catching the pokemon and after that it will run away so if its one you really want , use the phone.
The wristband i have never used , looks too much like a dog collar to me . Great for farming pokestops as the one click of the button is great when travelling along on a ride like a bus or car ( as a passenger only of course) plus the added bonus of catching some that you wouldnt normally be able to get due to travelling speed ;).
But my BIGGEST complaint about it is once you run out of normal pokeballs , it will NOT use great / Ultra balls , it will simply say "out of pokeballs" this is an issue that needs fixing.

Good product ruined by software/app (Niantic)
While the Pokemon Go Plus was a great initial purchase recent changes to the App it relies on, by Niantic, have basically lowered the usability and value of this item by about 70%.
I would originally have given the product 5 stars and highly recommended it, but in the current state due to changes to the App limiting its usability, reliability, and worth it's very hard to say much positive.
In it's original form, when a few bugs were fixed it was amazing.
In the current form due to the app it's underwhelming, unreliable and not worth the purchase price. Hopefully Niantic get their act together and fix the issues on their end, as it's not technically anything wrong with the Plus - but does deeply impact it and that can't be separated from this feedback.
Nintendo should be hugely disappointed at the level of support that Niantic are providing on the software side. This kind of partnership can't work when one side is literally destroying the usability of a product behind their partner's back.
Very disappointed as I bought a second for my wife before all the negative changes and now regret both purchases.
A few specific problems - no longer stays connected reliably. No longer picks up Pokemon and Pokestops even at walking pace with reliability. Will often pick up Pokestops only as you leave range, which points towards a syncing issue. Starts exhibiting problems well before battery levels reach a low enough level to need changing.
Sometimes stays connected but won't pick up ANY Pokemon or Pokestops.
Also registers 'ghost' Pokemon that don't actually exist but cause false positives without showing up in the App Journal - which may waste Pokeballs.
Overall very frustrating.
Does usually track distances travelled (at walking pace) reasonably well, helping to save battery for hatching and buddy distances. This is the only reason it's more than one star.Read full review...

Great quality just like the Pokewalker from HGSS
I love this little gadget as it lets me 'have a go' at catching all the Pokemon I wouldn't normally stop for while travelling - usually weedles and pidgey haha. Its range for Pokemon is a bit bigger than my phone, so it will detect them and point them out to me before I see them on screen when out 'hunting'. The range for Pokestops is a bit smaller but you can spin them on screen anyway. It tracks distance a lot better than the app alone, for hatching eggs and getting those buddy candies. Allowing the phone to sleep with just bluetooth on saves a LOT of battery. The quality is great, and it seems to be made out of the same materials as the Pokewalker, which I loved. The wrist-band is so-so but there is a hole in the clip for looping a cable through. The vibrations are reasonably discreet but strong enough to be felt by the wearer. Overall a great product, but quite expensive considering I am already paying for items in the game. (Clearly the cost is partially for the game, not just the device itself.) Good but can do better
The PGP uses only the red ball and will try only once. Soon i hope you can use ultra ball too and will try to catch Pokémon more than once.
Its good because its convenient and easy to use. You don't have to look at your phone all the time for nearby poke stops or nearby Pokémon.
It can connect to any iOS devices. Once connected, do not use device to avoid disconnection. If you check your eggs or items collected while connected, you may need to pair it again to your device or else, it will not be able to detect all Pokémons or poke stops.
I will not suggest this to ultimate/aggressive players. But only to cool players who do it for fun and not easily affected when a Pokémon fled.

Enjoying PoGo more than ever!
The Pokemon Go plus I received was brand new, complete with original packaging and instruction. It's been easy and reliable to use and really helped me enjoy Pokémon Go in a more social way. It's much easier to catch Pokemon, collect items and hatch eggs while also interacting fully with the people around me because I don't have to keep checking my phone. Everything has worked super smoothly with no connection problems. The only challenge is that I find myself going through pokeballs faster than ever! At this stage Pokemon go plus only uses pokeballs (not great or ultra balls) but I'm hopeful that this will be changed in future software updates.
Overall this product works seamlessly with Pokemon Go and has definitely enhanced my Pokemon Go experience while enabling me to more naturally enjoy the company of those I'm playing with. Read full review...

Plus is a Plus
Pokemon Go Plus 3 weeks on. Battery still going strong with heavy use on a daily basis. Catching lots of Pokemon, but you do need to keep the Poke balls up as it will chew though them if you are catching a lot. Unit keep surprising with functions that I didn't think it would do. Such as warn when an egg hatches, run out of balls, bags fill up, unseen pokemon and a couple of others. If you are a keen player, you will catch a lot with this (at about the same rate as doing it manually), the downside is that they are lower level. But it all helps to get Stardust and XP to level up those pokemon. It's inhenetly better at catching whilst you are mobile as acar passenger on on the bus, as you will see and catch more than via the game screen (lots more). Average catch rate is probably about 1 in 3 attempts (thats a lot of balls needed).Read full review...

Great idea let down by poor software
Its a great idea, catch pokemon on the move without pulling out your device.
take the kids out riding their bikes and you dont need to worry about crashes or broken phones, just stick everything in my backpack and off you go with kids in tow pressing buttons whenever a pokemon is in range

The reality is constant disconnects, having to stop to reconnect which involves getting your device out, it wont connect so kill the app and restart, then the gps glitches so now the game says your moving too fast and all the pokemon disappear, we are on bikes and yet it still says we are going to fast ever so often.
no ninatic we arent driving, we are on push bikes and no my 7 year old daughter cant do 30kph.
also impossible to use in the car, when its raining or the kids are out of pokeballs the pokestops in my area are sparce, a 27km round trip to hit the closest 3, so yep, pull over in the pouring rain on a 100kph highway because ninatic say you have to walk and its too dangerous to hit use while driving, new flash morons, my kids dont drive and its pokemon, a bloody kids game.
the whole game has started to become unplayable and these don't add anything to it, they just add another layer of fustration and you have paid for a device that is unusable in 90% of situations.
if i wanted to walk and use pokemon go i would just use the app on a device, buying a $50 bracelet is just pointless.
basically save your money. until nintendo tell niantic to pull their heads in and let people play the game the way they want rather than limit the way its played, this great idea is rendered rubbish and a waste of money.Read full review...

Pokemon Go Plus is very good, but overpriced
I took possession of the new Pokémon GO Plus and put it to work immediately. It takes a little getting used to, but once you do, it takes a lot of the hard work away from collecting Pokémon. It provides the sort of instant gratification children desperately want. You have to make sure your bag doesn't get full, or you won't collect anything. It saves the battery on your phone, which is great. Its a little too expensive. However, at the rate they are being bought, I guess they have themselves a nice little gold mine and won't reduce the price any time soon, so I suggest if you are interested, get out and get yourself one now.Read full review...

Nice, but not nice enough
Personally I'm a Pokemon fan and can afford the item, so I'm fairly happy with it. On top of that, I'm a gamer and can appreciate its features etc.
DISCLAIMER: Before you read the review, you might want to look up the Pokemon GO Plus' features at Niantic's website in the support section (don't know if I can link so I won't), because I won't be discussing the features here.
For the average person and child though, it is fairly pricey for what it offers. The worst part off the top of my head is that, at least for me and quite a few others I have seen making posts on the net, the battery that came with the toy only lasted around 2 weeks with decent usage. That means in addition to the ~$57AUD I had to pay for this toy, I have to spend roughly ~$8AUD every ~1 month (as $8 gets me two of the batteries).
That would be enough to put me off if I wasn't a gamer, but there's more. At the moment, the device does not connect well with my phone (Samsung S5). Things like random disconnections, having to do a full reconnect (unregistering the toy with my phone then registering it again), not being able to hold connection while I am doing other things on my phone, delays with the GPS and so I miss Pokestops. Yeah...
So if you REALLY like Pokemon and don't mind spending a bit of money, go ahead and buy it, it's pretty fun to just press a button and get stuff. Fun, but not super practical.
Great product for those Pokemon Trainers who don't have time to stop to pull their phones out to catch pokemon, or to spin stops. However, with the lack of support for recharging, or setting how the button work (spinning stops first, or using higher tier balls) makes this apparently one time investment into a on going subscription to energizer for the 2030 button cell battery that you will be replacing constantly. Don't forget to pack a suitable Phillips head (cross tipped) screwdriver so you can access the battery compartment while on the go.Read full review...
