Just like it
I like about it the most that the phone does not have to be charged all the time and because it is so cheap I am not worried that it gets broken or stolen.

The phone that just won't die
When I buy a phone I am not interested in any of the mod-cons. Cameras, touch-screens, internet connectivity, 'apps', even a colour screen. Because I have a camera to take pictures with, I have a computer to go on the internet with and look at pretty colours on, and I don't see the point of having a phone that can only be used when your fingers aren't covered in grease, paint or any other staining material.
The Nokia 1112 has no special features (unless you count an optional alarm clock speaking clock that sounds like my mother). What it does have is the capability to call and be called (yes, it does have an address book), and to text and be texted. The trade-off in the mp3-player/camera/waste-time-on-the-tube-games department is a freakin' incredible battery life. This little beauty will quite happily chug along for a week and a half between charges.
The other feature of this phone, which I am probably most pleased with, is its invincibility. You can keep your fancy JCB phones - you pay an extra hundred quid to have the fancy features and all the protective nonsense you'd need to stop them breaking. This phone has nothing fancy, so there's practically nothing to break. I took it with me to a ship where I worked for 6 months as a rust-buster. It may not sound like much, but when you spend your entire life hitting large metal things with other large metal things, cutting, grinding (sparks-a-mundo), welding, climbing around filthy dusty spaces, then playing with thinner and painting, you need a phone that isn't fazed by dust, by painty fingers, by being dropped from great heights, by sitting in the path of grinder sparks for minutes at a time. This is just such a phone. Covered in half a dozen different types of paint (on the easy-to-use keypad, mind, not the screen!) and scratched and dinted in a dozen places, it came out the other side no worse the wear for its ordeal. Its owner, during that time, had suffered an average of an injury a fortnight.
You want call time? You want a keypad so you can text without needing to look at the phone or worry about clean fingers? You want a phone you can drop on the pavement and not panic over? You want a phone you can replace, if need be, for a tenner from Ebay? Look no further.Read full review...
