I guess it is alright

Android apps worked great. Covers wide range of frequencies. Selectivity not too good. Local FM channels received but low quality. I would not use it for FM on my android. I was hopeful I could use it to listen to ham and shortwave. Oh well, it still works as advertised.Read full review...

NooElec does the job

THe NooElec Mini2+ is a vast improvement on previous RTL type SDR dongles. Frequency stability is now comparable to an expensive ham receiver even above 1GHz. The TCXO was pretty well spot on 'out of the box' and I was able to monitor beacons and narrow band digital modes at 1296MHz for several hours without having to correct for drift. For the price the NooElec Mini2+ is unbeatable
