Perfect replacement!

Perfect replacement for the one which was attempted to be ripped off my truck! I spoke to a company representative who checked my VIN number to be sure this was the exact replacement. This gentleman explained to me exactly what happend and the how of it when someone tried to pry it off the truck and did not succeed, except to break the pegs out of their spots and eventually it fell off. I was very please to find a brand new emblem, since the original one looked brand new and I did not want something that was already used. I have told many people how pleased I was with this replacement emblem...and was exceptionally pleased that they checked the VIN number to be sure I got the exact one I needed.Read full review...

Over all a good Emblem

Tabs did not fit my grill as stated in ad. Ended up cutting tabs off (flush) and just used sticky backing on emblem (we'll see how long it holds) Could have returned it, but fot the price I'll take the risk, Bought for 04 F250 Read full review...

Looks great!

Ordered this for my 2009 F150XLT. The backing studs on the new one are shorter than the originals, so I was not able to secure the emblem with the nuts which held the original. However, the new one came with an adhesive backing that seems to be very strong and has thus far held it on securely. It is a genuine Ford part, exactly the right size and looks great.

After further research, it seems that the exact matching part (with the longer studs, I assume) is #4L3Z 1542 528AB.

Removing the old emblem was deceptively simple. After unscrewing the two retaining nuts, I merely snapped off the two threaded plastic studs (upon which the nuts had been screwed)nwith a pair of pliers, and the old emblem dropped off. There are two other flat retaining pins that look like they also hold the emblem in, but it wasn't necessary to undo them to release the old emblem.

Replacing Blue Oval Emblems On Front & Rear Of 2006 Ford F-150 King Ranch Truch

Just replaced front & rear blue oval emblems on my 2006 F-150. Pretty easy. Used the fishing line method (50 lb monofilament) & it worked well. Tie a loop on each end of the line. Slip a screwdriver in each loop. Hook the line on the edge of the emblem then use a sawing motion to release the glue. On the rear I also used one of the plastic scrapers you can get at Home Depot. After the fishing line had cut the adhesive I used this plastic scraper as a wedge. Tapped it with a rubber hammer till the emblem fully released. This way it will not damage anything. Once the emblem is off the plastic scraper is very handy to remove all the adhesive that is left on the truck without any damage. After that I used a damp towel to wipe off any dirt than a final dry with a dry towel. After that peal the plastic off the adhesive on the new emblem. There are 3 locating pins on the back of the emblem. Just line them up with the 3 holes on the tail gate & on the front hood. Push emblem till the adhesive sticks. The adhesive is very good. The emblems I got had 3 pins on the back that were just as long as the OEM emblems so I could use locking nuts but they are really not necessary..You can't even use them on the tail gate since there is no access. These new emblems really do improve the look of the truck. Guess I won't have to buy a new truck now & that's most likely why Ford makes them so cheaply. Good Luck with yours.Read full review...

Exact item for my truck

...just like all parts from car manufacturers this item is seriously overpriced. Quirk Parts was great to work with; had a little problem with the first Emblem that was sent but they remedied the problem with only minimal effort on my part.

5 stars to Quirk Parts!

These look great!

Bought these for my husband's truck for his birthday. It was a great surprise. The price was right and the people I dealt with were fantastic. They actually matched the emblem with the VIN number of his truck. I bought in confidence that these were going to fit perfectly. HIGHLY recommend! Read full review...

All Black Everything

Was looking for an OEM tailgate emblem that could be custom sprayed all black. Tim said he could do it and provide a Brand New OEM emblem... He did! We allowed him to use his artistic expression and we were NOT disappointed. Emblem came out amazing and matches the truck perfectly.
Only minor concern were the baby top level scratches and light marring.
But they'll come out with the skills of a professional detailer which is coming up next for the truck.
We highly recommend Tim and you won't be disappointed with any custom emblem you get from him!

Fits my 2012 Ford Flex

I bought one of these to replace the OEM emblem faded and peeled on the tailgate of my Flex. To make it more durable I applied some clear epoxy resin to this emblem before installing it. The sticking material on the back of this was not enough to hold in place. I used some heavy duty 3M double sided scotch tape to hold it in place.Read full review...
