High quality, versatile scope
Really happy with this microscope. I am a hobbyist who bought this as an upgrade after being inspired by all the fun I was having with my kids and their kids-level scope given to them some years prior. The quality of the scope far surpasses my expectations for this price. Compound scopes of comparable quality are selling for two or three times as much--and this one's trinocular! I am even able to get a sort of dark field effect at magnifications less than or equal to 40x by raising the iris all the way and partly blocking the light source with a piece of paper. Sturdy metal build, great optics, easy to use. All the knobs (fine and coarse focus knobs, stage X-Y travel knobs, and iris knob) seem to me to have just the right resistance and are easy to manipulate. The objective carrousel (or whatever you call that), LED light, and slide holder likewise work fine and have an ergonomic feel. I've been able to take quality pictures/videos of what I'm looking at (usually pond water samples) by using a cheap adapter to attach my cell phone to any of the three eyepieces. Fun!Read full review

A great purchase for a great microscope.
This is the first microscope I spent money on for myself to run a business and I have nothing bad to say about it at all. Everything on this microscope works great.
Had I a "Druther", I would have "Druthered" one with a camera and software to take better pictures with, but, it is what it is and that's on me!!
I don't mind advertising this microscope on my YouTube channel at all.Read full review
