Small but effective lifesaver

Simple and easy to use, this little PLB could save your life one day. Fits into most weatherproof and depth-proof canisters and has a seven year battery life.

Staying safe

Small, light and easy to use and has a test facility for peace of mind. We bought one whilst in Alice Springs during our outback trip and gave it to our son for his trip so needed another to replace it. Good little unit

Great LITTLE beacon

The best thing about this Beacon is it's size. Is small, light and easy to carry in your pocket or bag which means you'll never leave it behind or think twice about taking it. I've not had to use it yet thus far but it is simple to operate deliberately - has good protection from accidental triggering.Read full review...

Tiny PLB with big specs

When I saw this on display in a retail store, I initially passed it off as too small and fiddly and likely ineffective. Wrong on all counts. It is a semi-permanent attachment to my photography pack and I never notice it is there, but can rely on it to summon help in the worst, unexpected situation. The big selling point of the OceanRescue PLB is the tiny size (compare it to others on the market, in weight and size) and the 115gm weight. Definitely a tour de force in the new small and unobtrusive genre of PLBs. 5*Read full review...

Great product

Really compact and comes with a lanyard, floatation case (on its own lanyard) and belt clip - they’ve thought of everything. All the information I needed to register the beacon with the maritime safety agency was prominently displayed on both the beacon and external packaging.

Testing the beacon is a bit complicated but all the instructions are in the manual.

It says it comes with a clear sticker to protect the Hex Id Code on the back of the beacon but it wasn’t included in the box.

The only thing I was disappointed about was that you can’t remove the floatation case (so you can attach the belt clip) without cutting its lanyard.

I'd bet my life on it

Reviews for this product by independent organisations are good, and its size & weight, guaranteed battery life are as represented. I hope to avoid having to use it but if I do I'm confident it will do the job. In fact I bet my life on it!Read full review...

Well made, very small.

Although we haven't had to use this in an emergency yet, it is very small, easy to understand and registering it in Australia is very simple. The information you can register is thorough and the unit appears to be well made.Read full review...

PLB

This device is very compact & easy to carry. Registration was quick & easy to follow. I can only assume that it will perform as described but I believe that past results are good. I hope to never need it. Read full review...
