For your average family traveler, this is a good choice.

If you're interested in more artful photography or any macro work, this is not your best choice. Outdoor photos are great, especially with all the scene settings available. The weight and size are great for vacation - especially if you're sight seeing outdoors. I prefer as much natural light - even indoors, and this model doesn't quite keep up. You'll have to use the flash if you don't want a grainy photo. I would recommend this as an easy option for a family camera, but NOT for much more.Read full review...

Works in PT-037 Underwater Housing

Older Olympus camera purchased to replace the non-working camera in my Olympus PT-037 Waterproof Camera Housing, which I used for basic underwater photography. If you use a housing, be sure to seal a dessicant inside the housing, not doing so allows humidity into the sealed housing, which is what killed my last camera. Olympus 560 is great replacement when my 550 began to malfunction

I have been using tee previous model, the 550 for a decade,and when it broke, I was forced to find one that would work in cimilar fashing, with similr deck and AA batteries.This is a great product, and came with the CDs for using the Olympus software, neck cord, connection cord for my computer's USB port. Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men

I believe that some camera models were engineered from industry wide plans. Meaning other camera manufactures have very similar internal electronics and schematic sameness.

This Olympus Model to me is a failure of parts quality control and/or engineering. My Olympus Sp-560UZ has horizontal electric lines running through the display, as did my Konica Dimage7. The lines will transfer to the final digital photo. Both cameras exhibit the half camera look.

I do not recommend this camera model.SP-560UZ.

Great camera zoom 16x and under water housing available makes it a win win

Wonderful camera with all the options you would ever need. Had to replace one that was lost in transit so happy to find a duplicate still available
