I have high hopes for this recorder and the price versus return ratio is too good to pass up!

I sure hope this recorder/Dictaphone records from across the room, because that's why I bought it. I already have several Olympus Voice Recorders, but without a microphone pinned to my physicians lapel, none of mine record well from a distance. The Olympus W-10 digital voice recorder is totally garbage!

Olympus makes great digital voice recorders. I use them quite often. However, this particular model is a piece of junk. It's totally garbage!

Small , Lightweight, Convenient , Well Thought Out

Small and Light weight for job site use . We use it in an accident kit , to record statements and take pictures , while it's fresh in peoples memory . Both of which can be down loaded on a computer , then saved on a disc .
This isn't designed for studio recordings and archival photos , just a useful item to have around the home or in the cars glove box .Read full review...

Have used this for years.

I've owned many digital voice recorders, and settled on this model a few years ago. It provides the digital voice, and also a camera. The controls are easy to remember. When I have an idea floating in my head and can't sleep, I don't even turn on the light. The controls are easy to recall and it's easy to tell whether I'm holding the recorder upside down, forwards or backwards.
I've used the camera to record traffic accident details, people I've met, unusual things in stores, et.
The USB connection works pretty weel, and only occasionally do I have to unplug and retry it. The software is easy to use.Read full review...

Very handy device and great price on EBAY.

This is really a handy device that I use regularly. It is small and light weight and fits in my pocket. I got it at a great price, knowing that the camera wouldn't work without the software. I didn't need the camera anyway. I would definately recommend this recorder. Most recently, I used it to record my doctor's instructions before surgery.Read full review...

great gift

i gave this as a holiday gift for my three nephews ages 7, 8 and 10. all three loved it and no one had trouble operating it quickly without reading instructions. they have enjoyed recording their own voices and others... even singing songs and playing it back. i remembered the days of playing with my parents tape recorder... and with this machine... it's just like that... only better. plus... i can borrow it if i need it for work!Read full review...
