This book is a feast!

What a wonderful book. Fans of Buckley's "Firing Line" know that there was absolutely nothing like it during its amazingly long run, and TV still hasn't caught up to the high level of discourse that was routine on that groundbreaking show. (Check out youtube.com for some segments from the show.)

I bought it especially for the interview with Malcolm Muggeridge. That, alone, makes the book worthwhile. But there is another three hundred, four hundred pages of marvelous content. Buckley's incandescent logic, wry humor, solid principles, and craftsmanship with our language make all of his stuff terrific. I like this book because you can open it anywhere and find something interesting to read.
