A great history with this CD

My wife and I started dating in 1968 in California and both were raised in states that have thunder and lightning storms. I found the LP in the $.98 rack at the store about 1970 and we played the grooves off of it. On the album, they recorded a rare thunder and lightning storm in California and combined the Mystic moods Orchestra score with it. We were watching the rain a while back and my wife said she would like to hear this again, so I looked on line and was surprised to find it on CD, I bought it. The blend of storm and music such as "Autumn Leaves" is fantastic and the track "Local Freight" is beautifully haunting with no music and just a freight train in the distance comes closer and passes you, to go off through the storm and into the night again. The CD is Truly amazing, even better in surround sound. I recommend this to all couples, when you want a romantic evening. It's timeless and I think you will enjoy it whatever your choice in music is and want to play it again!Read full review...

Beautiful CD

I had this on an LP a long time ago, but it got lost, so I was very glad to get this. Love listening to the background sounds, make it so peaceful. Love everything this orchestra did.

I received a "list" from my wife for Christmas presents she would like to receive. When you get up our age, buying gets harder and harder. I was surprised to see, "One Stormy Night" by Mystic Moods Orchestra in CD HDS. Well, I went on Ebay and found it. Ordered it and received it Pronto! I wrapped it and put it under the tree like a good husband. Well Christmas Day my wife opened it. She immediately went to our CD/DVD Player and inserted it. Our entire family and kids were there. What we heard was wonderful. Trains, Thunder, Lightning like it was outside, music all in harmony and in tune and in step. A better easier Time of Love and Comfort.

This recording brought back a simpler time in my life. A time when it was free and easy. The best way to listen to this music is with the lights down low and no other distractions around. Be with the one you love and relax. Let the music do the rest!! The way the sound effects are mixed with the Orchestra are magic. This is an awesome piece of work in the way of the music combined with the storm and steam train in the backround. My dad had this on reel to reel tape when I was growing up and i used to love listening to it , so when I found it on CD I bought it and sent it to him, I also bought a lp copy of it for me.Read full review...
