Last in a long line of Braun toothbrushes

I've been using Braun Oral-B (also known as Blend-A-Med) toothbrushes for 20 years now. They do a good job, but particularly the older ones failed very quickly, one in as few as 8 months. My last one lasted 6 years until the battery died, but there's no way to change the battery, so I had to throw it away. The new one has the same design flaw. It also has strangenesses that the old one didn't: it collects water in the charging base because of its shape, and it doesn't display when the battery is fully charged, so you can't tell whether it is charged or the power has failed.Read full review...

Good toothbrush, not all the hype.

As far as an electric toothbrush goes, this is a good one. However, its "3D" function seems to be imaginary as mine looks and works exactly the same as my housemate's 2D version. I got this on offer for the same price as the 2D so I'm not complaining, just saying don't get pulled in the by commercials. Also, get some floss handy. Great design. Teeth and money saver!!

Whilst I don't believe you really need this particular model, the cheaper version would suffice, it really does a fantastic job.
Dental work is so expensive, so looking after your teeth well is worthwhile from that perspective alone without mentioning the long term health benefits. Buy one, do yourself a favour. Cleaning your teeth to this standard with a conventional toothbrush is next to impossible.Read full review...

GREAT TOOTHBRUSH..ORAL-PRO 500

We have been using Oral B product for over 20 years. I thought it was about time to upgrade to the new Oral B pro 500 tooth brush. We find it very effective in brushing teeth and gums. The only drawback i could see, is that they changed the mounting post on the charger unit. We have a charger mounted on a wall, which can charge 2 units at once, so i modified the original charging station that we had on the wall, and now the new tooth brushes fit and charge on the old charging unit.
