Good but not cheap
I've only tried this tool on 530 chains so far but it works well enough. Mine came in a Motrax branded box but Oxford and Spada boxes contain exactly the same parts.
The tool comes ready to push out the rivets (grind heads off first though). Generally, it is easy enough to use. There are good instructions in box. My advice is take time and ideally have an assistant for first time. Expect to need to use a fair bit of force even to clamp the chain link together. Riveting the chain needs considerable force so a non angled 19mm box spanner may help if not outright force but aid control.
There are cheaper tools which will possibly work well. Ideally, speak to someone who has done chains for advice. I didn't so I possibly paid more than I needed to but nevertheless, I'm glad of this quality item. It works well enough and isn't too fiddly. It possibly paid for itself the first time I used it to do a chain and sprocket set.Read full review...

The best
I went cheap to start with (£25) riveter & was a total piece or rubbish so bought the Oxford one & it oozes quality. Easy to use & no fear of bending or breaking it. Highly recommended.
