Works With Windows 10 - with some work!

I bought this card in order to upgrade an older Dell workstation that was running Windows 8.1, to Windows 10. The NVidia card in the workstation was not compatible due to the fact that NVidia didn't write Windows 10 drivers for it. This was the least expensive card I could find that worked with Windows 10.

After installing the card, I had no video in Windows 8.1. The PC booted and was running Windows 8.1, but all I had on the display was the Windows 8.1 logo. Thankfully the PC is networked and I was able to log in remotely using Remote Desktop. The supplied CD did not have Windows 8.1 drivers, just Windows 8, which didn't work. I downloaded new NVidia 8.1 drivers from NVidia and was able to install them remotely. After the new drivers installed, the card worked fine.

The Windows 10 upgrade also went fine. The card worked with the Microsoft supplied drivers. However, I upgraded to the latest Windows 10 drivers downloaded from NVidia. Overall, I'm very happy with the card.

Just be aware that if you have Windows 8.1 installed on the PC you intend to use this card in, you might have an issue getting the correct drivers installed. Without video, it's not possible to see what the supplied driver disk is doing if you insert it into the drive. It might be possible to load the drivers in 'safe mode' as Windows should use basic VGA drivers which should work, and you can see what you're doing, I didn't try that, so I really can't comment.

Works on my Linux native install no errors. Some trouble with Windows 10

I installed several drivers, and found the exact one. But still occasionally i get the pop up saying "display driver has failed and is restarting". Then sometimes it freezes, however I have let videos run over night to test, and now they are freezing the computer far less often. This is probably much more iron-clad on windows 7 and maybe 8. Looks like a possible problem with limited support for Windows 10. I tried both the native nvida drivers and the PNY drivers and same result on both.Read full review...

Little Card with awesome features

I was looking for a graphics card to work with my Eizo Monitor and hp computer, the other cards did not work properly but the DVI HDMI PNY NVIDIA GeForce 610 1GB-1024MB DDR3 PCI Express Video Graphics Card did a great job.

My monitor is giving me great pictures and is not overheating my computer.

Awesome sauce!

good upgrade for an older computer

I bought this to economically improve an old Gateway computer that I was giving away. The on board video was giving me a 1 ratting in Win 7 and would not play some items and on others it would not do well. This video card was 1 Gb which this 32 bit machine could use as it had only 2.5 Gb of ram (4 Gb. max for 32 bit). The CPU is now the limiting factor and the video was around 5. This is not what I would use in a more powerful computer but it was great for an economical upgrade for an older computer. It did more than I expected, and I would buy it again.Read full review...

Upgraded HP s5747c Pavilion Slimline with Windows 10 (Creators Update)

Popped card into half-height PCIe slot in an HP s5747c Pavilion Slimline desktop, it automatically overrode the motherboard video, then upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 without a hitch. Gently fed the VGA cable out for an external connection to my monitor so as not to use an additional slot. It automatically used built-in drivers from both Windows 7 and Windows 10. A very quick and easy video upgrade. The video resolution is now much better and there's an improvement to system RAM as well.Read full review...

Plug in and Go

I ordered this card for an old Dell Optiplex 3020 after the onboard graphics flaked. I run various flavors of Ubuntu on the machine, and so far it has worked just as it should.

Perfect for older PC's

I was looking for a HDMI capable graphics card for an older PC. Most would not work and hung during boot. With a few steps to clear the old cards, worked great. Used on an Intel DQ965GF mainboard.

Great product

I hooked this up easily thanks to a youtube installation video. At first I couldn't get dual monitors to work...but it turns out that the updated driver has to be downloaded first. After that it worked well

thanks!
