Great value/quality

This is the 3rd Panasonic Lumix that I have purchased. I love the options that they have & my computer's card reader works w/ size cards the camera uses, so I never have to keep up w/ cords.
This camera takes a lot of the guess work out of which setting to use for a particular situation with the IA setting. I am a Realtor so I take lots of interior shots, and the wide angle lens makes a big difference.
I also love the internal memory, so if I forget my card, I can still take pictures. It will let you transfer the internal pictures to the card later. Again - no cords required!
Only downside to me, is that the camera is very thin & slick, so it could be easily dropped. I always use the wrist holder so I won't drop it.
Other than that - great point & shoot camera for beginners & enough fancy options for a med level photographer to appreciate.

Great little camera

I bought this camera because I already own one and love it so bought this one for my son. The lens is a Leica and takes excellent pictures. Light quality is outstanding and action shots are clear. The intelligent auto (IA) feature is great for taking quick, successive shots but it is fully manual as well. The camera is very fast on manual and is great for nature and portrait shots. Again, I love this camera, have had professional photographers comment on the high quality of the photos, it is hard to find retail as they no longer make them. The 8px is plenty; emphasis on pixels is overrated, lens quality is most important. Lots of great features, super easy use on computers, good video, outstanding battery life, an AV feature all add to the superiority of this Panasonic Lumix . Clearly I highly recommend it!Read full review...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 8.1 Mgpx

This camera is pretty nice. It does not have the best picture quality, but is decent and is perfect for someone who just wants to use it to snap family photos and pictures on nights out with friends. It is small, which is nice and has a good size screen. It has easy to use features and is pretty easy to use without having to read a manual.Read full review...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3A 8.1 Megapixel

I use this camera for our school's yearbook and to teach a middle school photography class. I like it so much I bought another to use as my own point-and-shoot pocket camera, even though I have a much more expensive (and bulky) Sony. My students have taken some amazing photos with it. We haven't shot any great sports photos with it yet but we have gotten terrific macro and very nice portraits. I chose it specifically because I have students with a wide range of skin tones and this camera does a good job of capturing the darker skins tones correctly instead of blacking them out. We take a lot of garden photos and the color saturation is fabulous. (It's adjustable as well.) There are a LOT of pre-set choices, but you have to go one level into the camera's menu to select or change them. We don't use most of them anyway. I do wish we could step the flash down a bit for close-up shots. Does not take AA batteries but so far we've gotten good life out of the rechargable. You can turn off the function sounds and lower the brightness of the LCD to get even more battery life. The battery/memory card loading door seems a little flimsy, however my students haven't damaged it and that says a lot. The LCD screen on the back is large and easy to view. The camera's finish has held up well after being handled on daily basis. We haven't shot any video but based on my other experiences with the camera I'm assuming the quality is average for a point and shoot. I purchased it when the retail price at a big box store was around $170 including cords, software, battery, charger, handstrap and manual. I found my own here on eBay for $140 with the same accessories plus a 2g memory card thrown in to sweeten the deal. The camera often lists as high as $240 retail, but if you can find it in the same price range I did it's an excellent buy. I'd caution against going for a lesser model in the Panasonic. I bought two of those and ended up with a camera that has a really long lag time between shots. And here's a tip: unless you feel the overriding need for a camera bag, skip it. You probably won't carry around the manual, cords and charger with you anyway. Go to Office Depot and get one of those heavy duty canvas pencil cases that clip into a 3 ring notebook. They cost about $5 and hold everything perfectly. But do be sure to buy a screen protector for the LCD on the back of the camera.Read full review...

Love it!

Camera was shipped pretty quick. I was really surprised when I took it out of the package because it looked brand new! For a camera this old that is a rare thing, especially for a compact because they are usually handled more casually. So, over all I am very happy with this purchase! Read full review...

Reviewing Panasonic Lumix FS3

I bought this camera 2 weeks ago, and i have been tested it, the camera works very fine, its ok for its price, has all the features i was looking for and some extras, the Intelligent Auto Mode helps when we dont want to be changing manually the mode and we dont have enought time before take the picture. If you want this camera buy it, i recommend you, but if you want a camera with more features i mean a semi professional camera look for another one, but this is perfect to all the people that only want the camera to take some pics randomly in the time, going to some places, parties, relative events, etc.Read full review...

Amazing pix, simple to use

This is an excellent camera with picture quality you wouldn't expect from a camera so compact. I bought this camera to use on random social gatherings and such since transporting this is a cinch, the pocket. The intelligent mode is fantastic as I can zoom and take pics 10 feet away and you can still read the writings of nutrition facts on a coke can. Very impressed.Read full review...

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 camera

The lens quality on this camera is excellent. Clear sharp photos, very small footprint. Lcd screen is super sized and controls are so easy u don't need to check out the user manual. Capable of multi burst photos like a motor drive.
I would not hesitate to buy another Panasonic Lumix. The only short fall is the size is so small you have to be concerned with preventing damage in your shirt pocket. It should come with a belt type holster, but the purchaser could buy a cell phone holster or cigarette holster for themselves. The camera is smaller than my cell phone.
