Really have not used it yet so I can't give a 'creditable' type of review. Previous posted reviews have said it is 'not' the last word in image quality but given it's price category, does't surprise me. It's overal size, weight and handling comfort seems to be very good. Second purchase of this camera!

After MANY years and 200,000+ photos, my first DMC-FZ40 finally gave out, primarily due to subjecting it to moisture by accident. I could have purchased the newest model, but I loved this one so much I searched for another one and found an almost new one here on EBay.
I am a travel photographer and this camera never fails me! Everyone wants to know what kind of big, fancy, expensive camera I use to get such beautiful photos! HaHa!

its a little high tech if youre used to nikon coolpix type point n shoots.But the images and options are very good.So is the zoom.

Great pictures, great buy

Love the light weight and the picture quality. Took pictures of birds on my bird feeder and close ups of flowers in my garden as soon as my camera came and they all came out clear with vivid color. Let your creativity run wild & you'll get more than your money's worth.

This camera takes excellent photo's Just like the Nikon, Canon's. I feel the only thing missing is the remote. For the money you are getting more than you paid for once you use it.
Once you add the different options you are only limited by your creativity. My photo's did not need to be altered with Photoshop exposure wise. Perfect clean photo's. Just set it and forget it.Read full review...
