Good camera

Panasonic usually makes a good product. This video is way outdated. For its class it does very well and holds up good. I got mine from ebay to transfer old tapes to digital and dvd. It has pretty good sound also. I had a few live music acts recorded that sounded good. Video was decent for this standard.Read full review...

Good Camera

I liked the camera, unfortunately the appropriate power supply and rechargeable batteries are missing. I managed to buy the proper power supply from amazon.ca and wait for the right batteries.
Somewhat disappointing, but with the proper power supply I could get the camera working and enjoyed the very good picture quality and ease of operation using two previously recorded tapes.Read full review...

Nice Camcorder, good features

I just got my PV-GS36 and have enjoyed trying it out. It does take good video and plays back great on my standard TV. As mentioned in the other review here it does not do well taking pictures in low light situations, even when using the build in light. My biggest dislike with this product is that I tried using it as a webcam following all the directions in the manual only to find that it will NOT work as described in Panasonic's literature. That and when I went to the Product Support online at Panasonic's USA site the only thing they would do to try and resolve the problem was quote the printed manual to me. Bottom line, nice camera, handy, easy to use and understand, good video quality, good picture quality (in proper lighting), poor customer support.Read full review...

It's a great camcorder for capturing memorable moments!

Its worth getting if you pay a decent price. You have to install firewire/ IEEE 1394 on your computer if you dont have it already, for transferring videos to the cpu. That was a hassle, but once I completed that, I was good to go. In great lighting, its great. When it gets dark, the quality isn't the best, even when you turn the camera light on. The pictures aren't great, but thats what a digital camera is for. I appreciate this little device. I haven't had any problems with defects or cheap built on this product.Read full review...

I have this camera too and I have no problems with lighting or anything else. I travel a lot so I use this camera on my trips to capture special moments for the scrapbook.
