Watch out for countries on 220 - 240V

Hi, just want to let you know that if you are usind 220-240v in your country. The main set will work but the four other handsets will not. It is still not an issue as you can replace the adapters with a 110-220v.if you choose that route ensure you wire the positie to the right side.overall the phone works great and the price is superb as compared to the local sets that are sold here in Singapore. I got five handset for the the price of two even with the additional adapters.Read full review

by TOP CRITICAL REVIEW

looks great, easy to set up, garbage base unit

I bought it to replace a set that had a tired base speaker. This is supposedly brand new, NO ONE - not ONE call - can I use the base speakerphone. Nobody can understand me. A total waste of money. And on top of that, one of the five handsets was non functional. This claimed to be new - the way it arrived - it was definitely used. Once again - too good to be true turned out to be too good to be true. Want a decent system - spend big bucks on a big brand. This system is garbage - for my needs. I so wanted this to be awesome...no one can hear me on the base...I hate leaving negative reviews....I dont know if this was actually not new but used, or if panasonic makes crap phones...this was a mega disappointment; based on my experience I regret I can't recommend this setup to anyone.Read full review

In this day of cell phones (and being senior citizens) we still prefer a land line. These phones fit the bill.

I don't know that it's "better than expected" but I'm happy with this product. The feature that speaks and tells you who's calling would be nice, but many of the calls we get a robo sales calls and calls where the caller ID is blocked, so I had to figure out how to turn the feature off. Also it was too loud and (as far as I know) there's no way to turn the volume down on the voice.

Is there a way to delete messages w/out having to listen to them first?

excellent cordless phone system if you need a lot of handsets

We replaced an older Panasonic cordless handset/answering machine with this newer model. We wanted 5 (vs. 4) handsets and the cell-phone link feature (since often we don't carry our cell phones with us in the house). The new system was very easy to set up, with the exception of transferring contact info from my iPhone. The iPhone does not allow for manual xfer, which meant that I had to sort through over 300 entries, deleting ones that were not appropriate to transfer to this phone system. I forgot that this had been a limitation of our old system, and it;'s a bit disappointing that the problem has not been addressed, but ...

All in all this is a very good product, and at the price we paid, and excellent value.

Many great features!

So far I am happy with these phones. The sound quality is good and I believe I will enjoy all the features once I learn how to use them all. We had Panasonic cordless phones before and they lasted a long time. Didn't really need to replace them but wanted to update what we had.Read full review

ok

Panasonic went to cheaper batteries (the green ones, low amp hrs) so the handsets don't stay charged as long as their older models. So I put in the older type batteries and they work fine. So don't discard your old style batteres, the yellow ones or just buy new ones, keep the green ones for back up or what ever.Read full review

great for the price and it's P A N A S O N I C.... a super brand.

similar to the old set we had.
old set had full buttons for the talk and the new ones is only a half a button.
when you are used to it it is fine.
auction did not say comes with batteries so I bought them on ebay as well.
phones came, and had batteries. now I've got $30 worth of spares !!
probably ok.

Excellent phones

I live in an area where cell reception can be problematic so I still find it advantageous to maintain an IP land line phone. I have owned several generations of Panasonic phones and this, the latest, is the best in terms of sound quality and features. I haven't had a lot of opportunity to use the Link2Cell feature but it is unexpectedly convenient to be able to grab the nearest handset and receive a cellular call as well. The Panasonic is a good way to consolidate both types of phone. A good choice for a home phone.Read full review

Happy customer!

This Panasonic phone was a replacement for the old Panasonic that gave out on us, eventually. We especially like that this phone has better volume control. And we dearly appreciate the "call block" feature.Read full review

It's Pretty, but Pretty Quiet

Pros: Easy set-up; time & date set itself semi-automatically on all six handsets. High-contrast, large clock numerals are easy to read at a distance. Missed Call alert displays on handset. At $103 for six handsets, price was right.
Major Con: The volume in speakerphone mode can be set at 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest). Six is not nearly loud enough to hear the caller/callee even as close as one foot away. It's so bad, I have been looking for a master volume setting... I'm still looking... 3 stars.
