I’ve actually replaced my Sony RX10 IV for this as it is simpler to use with easier and more reliable slow motion. Also much much lighter and versatile to handle jobs from the rainforest to a lab where I work. I’d prefer a camera just like this with a larger sensor but don’t think the Panasonic FZ2000 or whatever is it. Great camera to take me to the next step in photography

This is the first time I have owned anything more than a camera phone to take pictures. The onscreen menu is nice and clear and with good instructions I was able to learn how to use this easily. It feels tough and looks great. I am looking forward to learning more about the different options soon but for now, I just keep everything on auto!

A Damned Good Bridge!

This camera gets 5 stars for what it is. It's a bridge camera and, as such, it does what it does excellently. But it won't do what a fine SLR with changeable lenses will do.
It will deliver flexibilty while at the same time be more weather and dust-proof than an SLR. It wont have the same wide choice if lens solutions but I don't have to lug around a barrelfull of lenses.
The camera is still new to me and I'm finding I have to do a lot of post-processing, mainly adjusting for overexposure. I expect I'll learn how to adjust for that.
I has an FZ200 previously, and this one hasmore bells and whistles. It will take me some time to learn the ones that interest me.
The Leica lens is excellent and the fact that it retains an f-stop throughout the zoom range was a big selling point for me.Read full review...
