great value for a weather sealed dslr

Not as light or compact as a mirrorless APS-c camera, but shines in wet/cold conditions. Used camera similar in price to used M4/3, but lenses dearer, though less expensive than Fuji body and lenses. Needs some post work to get really good images from RAW, or tinkering with JPEG settings, but the ergonomics and menu choices are better than both Fuji and Panasonic. Awaiting upgrades and touch screen to be as useable as Olympus or Panasonic, but till than has the benefit of some really good value glass, eg 55mm 1.8 at really low prices.Read full review...

The Pentax K5 provides functionality not found in other brands of cameras.

The Pentax K-5 is an excellent camera that can be used by the nice providing professional results. My previous camera was a Pentax K20D, the K-5 produces high quality photos when using a high ISO with little noise. Excellent in low light using TAV and ISO is set to auto.

I'm still experimenting with HDRI settings with this camera, and feel I'll have to go back to extended bracketing (taking 3 photo's with different exposure settings) and using a software application to merge these photos.

The Pentax camera is compatible to old lenses and provides features not found in other camera brands. Very happy with this camera and have no regrets.Read full review...
