Nice upgrade to the PS2 original!
Persona 4 Golden is a great version of Persona 4. One of the things I enjoy about this game is the New Game + option. The original game didn't have post-game content. Golden also has updated graphics.
This is not like the PSP port of Persona 3, at all. There's an additional character added to the story, more Personas, additional social links, more anime styled cutscenes, character outfits, and additional spoken lines. Also, you can call in other players to help you during tough dungeon battles using the PSVita's wi-fi capabilities.
Overall, if you love the Persona series, play Persona 4 Golden. If you have already played Persona 4 for PS2, this is up for you to decide if you liked the story or not. At this point, getting a used copy is definitely worth it!Read full review...

Golden shines
There is little bad to say about the Persona series. Excellent music, great storytelling, compelling characters, it has it all. Persona 4 Golden takes the most cheerful Persona story (if you can call any story featuring murder cheerful) and adds a new character along with a new dungeon and new mechanics. The Golden Series
Persona as a franchise is a fantastic game series. Atlus in general makes great games, but the Persona series of games is quite unique. With compelling story lines and complex features it makes for a great game. The only issue I have with Persona games is that the duration between active level crawling and story oriented progress can drag at times (sometimes up to an hour or more of just working on what are known as "Social Links" in the game). It is something that can throw those new to the series for a curve.

Persona 5 is the reason I wanted to get a vita and play Persona 4 Golden. I can't believe all these years, I was completely unaware and overlooked this this amazing franchise. After I realized how nearly impossible it would be to get the Persona 4 Golden skin (made by Atlus), I was feeling like it was just too late. They make other "custome" skins but none comes close to looking as amazing as THIS one.

To me this is the pinnacle of the vita, it just works so well as a handheld game/story. I have bought this game on 3 separate occasions just to play it again, I am on my third playthrough and I am enjoying it just as much if not more than the first time. Person 4 golden is a role playing game, and I suspect, most people who are ordering it have a good understanding of what that entails, but this game plays with the genre a little bit. I'm glad i buy it! A very well made Remake!!
I waited centuries since it came out to buy it. And finally was able to purchased it in a accessible price for me and as hard copy rather then digital copy, since in my country didn't release it the one i desired.
This title it's even better then the original Persona 4 which came out for PS2. More activities and social Links, the possibility to go places which before you couldn't and have different outfits then their school uniforms. More events and activities to keep you busy in a game world which the time it's the most precious. AND! two more different endings!
Although, there still some things i don't really like. You have too much things to do and time is not enough, if you don't manage it well.
But i guess it's a good thing, it means it will make you have to replay it so you can watch what you missed with the option NEW GAME+. It's a must have for the Vita. And if you like RPG games then you will not be disappointed.

P4G is the best remake of a game I've ever experienced.
Atlus never ceases to amaze me. How they could take one of my favorite games and then....remake it into something even better is astounding. Persona 4 Golden is a shining example of how remakes should be done.
The staggering amount of content found in the original game would've been more than enough to simply re-release it in mobile form. However, Atlus goes far and beyond "more than enough" with an extreme level of brand new content added to the Golden edition.
The few gripes I had include how much easier the game felt this time (due to a certain idol) and the lack of dual audio but, that one is a matter of personal taste.Read full review...
