Take A Chance On Me ?

Well, Benny Andersson is certainly well accomplished as a classical pianist, and this CD is really aimed at those who love classical piano music. Unfortunately, I didn't look into it enough and mistakenly thought it to be some kind of re-worked piano version of ABBA's greatest hits. Well, you do get 'Thankyou for the Music', which is excellent, but everything else is 'classical' composition in the true sense of the word. Never mind, it is after all quite soothing. Grows on you

I was looking forward to receiving this but disappointed when I heard a few tracks. I play too so appreciate fine music, I thought that I could play this better. Having played through a few times I now think it a wonderful easy listening album that has got better with time. I maybe able to play the tracks but I am no writer and I now to the master. Finding out that Benn neither reads or writes music was a shock but neither can Paul McCartney and he has done quite well.Read full review...

Benny Anderson Piano

The quality is good but i was very disappointed in the choice of material. I wanted to hear instrumental version of The Winner takes it all and other better known Abba tunes.

I appreciate the wonderful talent but the only tune I knew was 'Thank you for the music' (which I love) so overall very disappointed although it is still a first class product.Read full review...

A superb album. Beautifully played, with a selection of sublime tunes.

I was very sceptical about this album. I was very wrong to be so! This is a superb album. The timing and poise of the playing here is first class. This album allows you to drift away for a while in your own thoughts and be spoilt by some fabulous music.
I must admit I am getting bored of people moaning that this is not ABBA on the piano! It was never meant to be, it is called Piano and has a good few ABBA tunes on board.
For those who have said there is only one ABBA tune on here, that is also wrong and shows a lack of knowledge in ABBA's music.
We have, I let the music speak(Visitors), You and I (Super Trouper), Thank-you for the music( The Album), The day before you came(single), I wonder, ( The Album), My love, my life (Arrival) and Happy New Year ( Super Trouper) . The rest are from Chess and Folk tunes. All stunning.
