Great headset for cordless phone or Skype calls

I love this headset as it has volume control and mute. I use it mostly with a cordless phone. I hear people clearly and they can hear me. The Plantronics M214i comes with a USB cable, (the M214C does not), so you can plug into your computer for Skype calls as well. Another positive is this headset originally cost around $60 in stores but online deals can easily cut that price by 65% or more.

There are some unique things to be aware of in headsets and particularly this one. The first is the cable on the headphone is thin. Most are unless they're a gamer headset. I've ruin a couple headsets getting the jack end of the cable caught on something and breaking it. It was my fault but a thicker cable could have prevented it from breaking.

The second thing to be aware of is it's called a 3 in 1 headset. It can be used with cordless phone, online, or cell phone. The cell phones years ago were the 2.5mm jacks whereas today they're 3.5mm jacks. I'm not sure why anyone would to use this with a cell phone unless they're considering the cost being cheaper than a wireless headset and they would use it around the house. This is not really a big deal but I wanted to share it in case someone reads on the box as a 3 in 1 in an online ad. This product is no longer in stores which is probably why the 3 in 1 hasn't been changed.

Last point to be aware of is it has a switch for computer or phone. A person you're talking to on the phone might not hear you very well if you have it switched to computer. I've switched it back to phone and they can hear me just fine.

With the pros and cons, I would still recommend it as a good all around headset. For my purpose to use with a cordless phone, it works well.Read full review...
