Great classic game

What a classic! I recently bought a beautiful Nintendo 64, having not had one since I was a child and games were still coming out for the console, and Pokemon Stadium was an immediate buy. It's just as great as I remember! The 3D Pokemon fighting is brilliant and I do love that it can interface with my Red and Blue Pokemon games, even let me play them on the TV (although to be fair I can already do that with my Super Game Boy and my SFC).

After all these years, it looks and plays great, and I recommend it to any N64 owners to this day!

Fun, but different, pokemon game

There is no story line, and no way to train pokemon. You simply battle with hand picked and a customized team. A lot like a trip to the battle frontier. I has hoping for a new story os some kind, but regardless, pokemon stadium is a lot of fun!Read full review...

Fun game, decent length!

A fun game, it holds true to the replay value for many of the pokemon game series. There are several things to do in the game such as mini-games, fight the 8 gym leaders, complete the pokemon league, free battles, and of course, the stadium where you can participate in several difficulties using either your own pokemon or premade rentals. You can even connect the Transfer Pak to the controller and play your red, blue, or yellow version through the gameboy tower. Of course, you can battle your friends as well! However, it's still limited in what there is to do. Once you complete everything, there isn't much besides replaying through everything else. The stadium games have the least amount of replay value, it'll just take a while to get to replaying it though.Read full review...

Classic 151 Pokemon, arleady have'em all!

This game is an original when it comes to Pokemon. I much prefer the original Pokemon over the newer generations, in fact Hoen region is where I draw the line. I tried Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, and after seeing what a monstrosity that was, I don't even want to see what Black and White are all about! Mainly I hate how they change the concepts of moves and abilities in newer generations, well enough of that, in this game you can battle all the gym leaders and enter in a battle Colosseum! The kid's club is probably my favorite part though because it has mini games that will challenge your skills and it's just fun to play! The thing about the battles is that it's mostly about luck; even when your Pokemon is stronger or faster, your opponent's Pokemon will sometimes get the edge. I won't even get started with round 2, you'll have to figure that one out on your own! Good Luck! Your going to need it!Read full review...

Amazing game that needs an HD Remaster and game for the new Pokemon

Pokémon Stadium was ground-breaking when it was released. It was the first to use the transfer pak and you could battle Pokémon on the Nintendo 64. There are Rental Pokémon as well. It still holds up well today, even though Pokémon Stadium 2 took what was wrong with this game and improved it. There are some broken mechanics but nonetheless if you want 3D Pokémon Battling, this is a nice pickup if you can't get Stadium 2.Read full review...

Good Throwback

I kind of lost the vibe fairly quick. Kind of cheesy but it is still a great classic game! Love the mini-games too.

For the best Pokemon game you need to time travel to N64 days

I'll never understand why Pokemon games have been relegated to the small screen for eternity. I bought Pokemon Stadium on a whim because I was given an N-64. When I started it up, there it was, all the Pokemon as big as my screen! Battling large as life and easy to pick up an play, Pokemon Stadium is a great game. Battle after battle is the primary focus. Making teams, and choosing the right order is what it is all about. Until they revisit this game on a new system, Pokemon stadium stands as a great classic unmatched.Read full review...

Pokémon Stadium Review

I bought this game simply because you can play Pokémon red blue and yellow on the television if you have the game and the transfer pack. I get tired of playing them on the game boy which is smaller and not back lit (in most cases). The game itself if fun also, the kids area has a lot of little games that I rather enjoy. And battling is a ton of fun as well if you enjoy the battles. It has good graphics, and also in my opinion it is great simply because it has just the original Pokémon, which are the ones that I know best.Read full review...
