Keira Knightly /Robin Hood's Daughter-classic disney TV

Keira Knightly as Robin Hood's Daughter, What is not to like. This comes before her appearance in King Arthur- and is where she originally learned how to shoot a bow. ( She references this movie in King Arthur interviews). She is not quite as polished a performer in this piece compared to her later work but she is still easy on the eyes.

The supporting cast brings in decent performances, nothing Oscar worthy, plot is as predictable as a James Bond movie- pure formula- but it is Robin Hood- does anyone really expect the sheriff to win? Ever? Like a Bond movie the reason to see it is not in its originality but in its fun

A good family film for all ages - which can be hard in this day and age. On the milder end of the PG spectrum much less graphic in the action than a lot of PG films

Highly recommend if you want a family adventure story with a little campy ness to it. If you are a film critic - dont bother telling us how un Oscar worthy it is- We dont care- This is a Disney made for TV movie- and delivers exactly as expected.Read full review...

Robin Hood Daughter to the Rescue!!!

I have always loved the story of Robin Hood and this female take on the story justs adds to the adventure.

Very well-crafted Disney Production, much reminiscent of "Pirates of the Caribbean - The Curse of the Black Pearl" blockbuster adventure-ride.
Keira Knightley's superb performance alone makes it worth watching many times. Excellent soundtrack keeps adventure rolling with well balanced script and extraordinary overall performance of all casts.
Insightful quotes such as "Life is a wild horse, ride it or it will ride you", "One man's desire should not cause another man's suffering", etc. makes it a perfect clean movie for its originally intended teen-audience demography, as weel as for the whole family. Princess of Thieves

I really wasn't much of a Keira Knightley fan. The only thing I could really remember her in is the Johnny Depp pirate movies. And I didn't think she was very good in those. But then I saw her in Domino and my mind was changed. I really didn't think she would have the range to play a bounty hunter but she pulled it off really well. So when I came across this movie I was eager to see how she would do in it. It was one of her very first roles (she was 15 years old) and I thought she handled it very well. The movie itself was okay but nothing special. It's an extension of the old Robin Hood story only in this version Robin Hood had a daughter. The daughter trying to help her father on one of his missions gets him captured and thrown in the dungeon. So then of course she has to help him Escape. It's pretty predictable and in a couple spots seem a little slow. But I liked the movie, I couldn't tell you why but I did. Anyway I thought my money was well spent on this DVD.Read full review...

Princess of Thieves - A very enjoyable movie!

This movie is a wonderful and unique twist on the Robin Hood tale that we are all familiar with. The plot is great, the characters are real and believable, and it is a great family film!
