Big array of colors.

Colors are awesome, had purchased the 12'pcs and fell in love with quality had to have all 150. There is breakage only in some of colors when sharpening but not many. The best sharpener for this item is def. the prismacolor brand, it does make a difference. There is more breakage if using a different brand or inexpensive sharpener. But if you are willing to spend the money for these pencils you should spend a little extra to purchase the best sharpener. Well worth it. Love love this brand. As I like to say they color like butter.Read full review...

Not a practical box for the pencils

The cpencils are great quality (as expected) and delivery was super fast which was a really nice suprise. The only problem is that it comes in a square box and six traies of penciles piled one on top of the other. the trays are kind of flimsy so it's hard to take out, and if you want a specific color you have to take all six trays out. I would highlt recomond getting these pencils in the long box which allows you to see all the pencils at the same time without pulling trays out.Read full review...

We forgot to review we were SO excited with the colored pencils. They came in very fast!

My husband got these as a gift for me after I had seen a commercial on Prismacolors with soft core pencils lead work great with water color too. Or if you get the tip wet you get the same color just more intensity. Wow! I have spent several days playing and trying different techniques with great results.
These are the BEST colored pencils I have ever owned. I don't let little people use these. I have another box of a less expensive brand, we use when I have "help." If you want them for coloring or you are a real artist you won't be disappointed. Except you won't want to put them away.

Great with an asterisk

I do love my Prismacolors. They lay down beautiful deep rich color. They are definitely an artists quality pencil, not a pretender. Some really appreciate the blending ability of Prismas, I am not one. They are OK with blending. They do leave a lot of what is called WAX BLOOM because they are wax based. It can also be very difficult to find the right pencil sharpener that is not constantly breaking the prisma tips. With some, you can chop off half a pencil trying to get an unbroken tip. A positive of being wax based is that you can heat up pencils that may have the leads broken inside them, saving the pencil. You cant beat the color selection of the 150 set. I will use them a lot but not as much as my FC Polychromos which I feel is the standard to measure all colored pencils by. Those blow away Prismas for blending and layering. They are oil based and don't leave the wax bloom that prismas do

Prismacolor Premiers is a medium to medium high quality artists pencil. A stepping stone to the high end polychromos

Prismacolor Gift was the Hit of Christmas

My art-loving daughter was beyond thrilled to receive this fabulous set of Prismacolor Colored Pencils. We all tried to think of a color that isn't included, and were not successful - it's all there. And, as my son-in-law pointed out, if you want to color an avocado, it's no help at all to just have Lime Green, Leaf Green, and Mint Green. My daughter also told me that all the Prismacolor Pencils are available as open stock at many art stores. So, if you just love Cherry Red, and use it up, you can replace that one pencil. The Prismacolor quality is well-established, so I don't need to reiterate that.Read full review...

Perfect set for an artist, probably a bit much for a beginner.

It doesn't get any better for color range, quality and pigment saturation. Best on the market, just wish it came with like 10 whites for blending and a sharpener... that would complete the set.

"MOST EXCELLANT"

I am writing this review for this gift from my husband. This is a great product, the only con would be there is only one of each color . They color smoothly but sharpen down fast that is why you would want two. The color selection is wonderful, so they are still a great value as far as that goes. They apply evenly and consistently, I used other color pencils and the grip and color is not as good as these. There is so many colors it is fun to find the one you want, and because of the different colors you can make the picture look in-depth with shading techniques. My husband purchased these for me and said they were a great price compared to others. I have had five surgeries on my hands and have a lot of problems with my grip since working for so many years, but using these pencils does not hurt and I can use them for hours. My husband looked for years to find me something to do that had to do with art because I love art but am limited to what I can do, and these are wonderful to fill my retirement time and not cause me problems with my hands. Fantastic pencils!

This is my second full set of Prismacolour premier pencils. I also have several other smaller sets too, that I got very cheaply. Whilst they're not cheap pencils, I got a good deal on these at only £110 roughly speaking.
These are in my top five of pencils, along with pencils such as Faber-Castell Polychromos and Caran d'Ache Pablos and Luminance. The colour pallet is second to none, offering a fantastic range. They lay down colour lovely, are great to blend also. You won't be disappointed if you buy them. Most colourist and artists have a set of these!

Sudee-Stile 150

They are very nice pencils. Very much worth the money. Good blending, soft thick lead. They are not named, but do have numbers. Making a color chart is helpful. They are all silver colored barrels with corresponding color ends. Some ends are the exact color match but not all. Read full review...

Amazing

They make every drawing look realistic. The drawings look more like photos. I'm barely learning how to mix some colors, but I still like how they work. I drew an apple and a strawberry, and it looked great! Right now I'm currently working on drawing faces and animals with these prismacolor premier pencils. Overall, I would highly recommend that everyone should get these pencils. ;)Read full review...
