Good sci fi
It is a great entertaining DVD. When watched as in the series of Alien movies gets really deep and enveloping you to wanting to watch it. Despite being in need of a break.

Stolen fire quickly put out
Leaving aside the ties to the Alien films, while the visual effects are amazing, the film ultimately has a disappointing ending that fails to address salient plot points and leaves the viewer unsatisfied.
As far as the cast goes, Fassbender’s android David was great…but otherwise it's a waste of potential. Seriously, you have Theron and Elba in the cast and you squander them like that? Rapace acquits herself admirably, though.
