Top doona for winter

Having got by with a 50/50 duck down doona for many years, we felt it was time to replace it. We went from Queen-size to King-size to allow extra overhang and wanted a doona that we wouldn't have to use an extra blanket with in winter. This doona fulfilled all our needs. On even the coldest nights we are toasty warm. The only down side is that we will need a lighter doona for summer, but I am sure that we will be able to get one from the same supplier.

Luxurious, quality quilt in a practical design.

I love the quality of this quilt. It's so light, soft and warm and the box construction means that my feathers don't work their way down the channel overnight. It's a more practical design by far. although the 4 blanket quilt is suggested for Australia winter, I found my 6 blanket quilt is quite warm and comfortable, and not overheated at all (I live in Sydney, not remote area). I should point out thatI have lower body temperature and always feel cold. I started using this quilt from this autumn. It's been great. so I don't know if this is good for summer yet. I was a little worried about buying a doona on line. I am so glad I took the chance. This doona is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Firstly I love that it is Australian made. It is so warm, so light, so comfortable. I can jump into bed when I am freezing cold and will be warm in no time. Just a sheet and the doona and it's heavenly. The only minor problem is, if it stays above 14 or 15 deg C overnight it can get a little to hot under the covers. It's usually a lot colder than that here though.
