Vintage portable counter

I was reading about a Transoceanic receiver I purchased that is a model G500. Knowing the converter tube in this radio is expensive and getting harder to find, the best test is to have a test instrument that is non intrusive into the radio you are checking. Put a plastic sleeve over the antenna of this little counter and you have a perfect way to measure the frequency of this convert tube. I'm learning this as I go from different articles I read and there are some really cool methods out there and wished I could meet these skilled technicians. I also find it locates stray radio frequencies around the house and I like the b-n-c connector at the top of the unit because you can connect a coax to this unit but be careful to not exceed the input voltage that I think is 1.4v peak to peak. I love the fact it is small and sensitive and it fills the need I have to evaluate the radio as the article taught me.
